I've had it with Y/As' Refusal to Address Our Concerns about them deleting our Questions & Not Explaining Exactly Why, so we know what not to do again!!! So, I have just spent the morning contacting Y/A Partners such as "Good Housekeeping, Grameen Foundation, National Geographic, Real Age, to mention a few. I asked for their Support by giving the Forums Section here a Review & then taking our concerns back to Y/A, which they Actually Agreed to Do!!! So, I Know Y/A won't Forgive me because they helped send a Chinese Man to Jail for 10 years by giving his PRIVATE INFO to the Chinese Govt., but do U think God will Forgive me??? John

and writings? For a non-supporter of the bible it is mere words on paper. Without the knowledage and study of symbols, reference, reasons for each act to apply, cultural enviorment, motivate and intent for God's lack of intervention or movement in intervening, one only assumes and often is mislead as well as misleading to others. So shouldn't all those questions that are asked or stated about the bible be left to those who know the bible or have study it and not unbelivers who have not at least study religion and the context of how it is defined?

and will be like for those left behind after the rapture?

I found these two links and I believe they are pretty accurate.

part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYz7AHtKfEE

So...I want to know what you think. Do you believe this will happen? I do. Also if you were left behind and this stuff did start to happen would you remember this video and start to believe? I'm curious how many people believe now, how many don't believe, how many will believe after it happens, and how many will never believe no matter if it happens like that or not.

Hi, I was raised a Jehovah's Witness but now I'm converting to Judaism with a Reform rabbi. (Long story, as you can imagine.) I was just curious, do most Reform Jews pray three times a day? The reason I ask is that after looking over the Gates of Prayer (Reform siddur) it seems more difficult to use at home than a traditional siddur.

My rabbi also says that most of his congregants don't own a siddur. Is that pretty typical??

Yes, I'm already aware that the Orthodox don't accept Reform conversions, so there's no need to point that out. But since the Orthodox are only a small fraction of American Jewry, it's not a huge concern of mine especially since I already come from an "outcast" denomination . . .)

What are some other issues I can expect as a former Jehovah's Witness becoming Jewish? I'm leaving the Witnesses because I disagree with them and feel an amazingly strong connection with Judaism.

Don't you think the root of this debate is pride - both assume to know something with certainty and accuse the other side of being an idiot?

not all members of either group act this way, but in my experience most do

And just to make sure we're all on the same page here, let's look up what the word "Empirical" means, shall we?
"1. derived from or guided by experience or experiment.
2. depending upon experience or observation alone, without using scientific method or theory, esp. as in medicine.
3. provable or verifiable by experience or experiment. "

So there you have it. Sin, to exist, must be verifiable. So to one person a sin MUST be the same (with the same results mind you) as the next.

So with that in mind, I await your definitions please.
(oh and for the record the Dictionary's definition of Sin is not an Empirical one, it is a subjective one based on western culture. Just so no one tries cutting and pasting from a dictionary site...)

If you hate these gods so much, or don't believe in them, why would you waste your time asking about them? To stir up trouble? If you don't like something, avoid it. There's enough negativity in the world already. Don't you think so?

John and Jane (who are married, of course) have 32 frozen embryo. They ask Dr. Brown to implant them into Jane's special baby-growing place which she received as a gift from God. Dr. Brown does so, but Jane ends up with only 2 babies from the stork.

How many babies did John, Jane and Dr. Brown kill?

What does that say about his perfect creation?

Or will you tell me that God didn't make us perfect? A perfect being made imperfect creations?
