First, I think you should research verses pertinent to "the rapture" more fully. I advise reading the entire New Testament through, if you have not done so already. If you read carefully, you will most likely no longer believe in a pre-trib "rapture".
Second, I couldn't help but notice that Kerry was still around after the "rapture." :)
Third, the rebuilding of the temple is an important milestone. As you probably know, the likelihood of that happening in our lifetimes seems *very* remote. Muslims have control of the temple mount, and seem likely to maintain that control for the foreseeable future.
Fourth, the tribulation includes a world-wide outlawing of Christianity. For such a thing to happen, our entire political structure has to collapse. The U.S. Constitution will no longer be in force, nor will any constitutions of any other religiously tolerant democratic nation (including England, France, and most of the other "world powers" today). In other words, the movie represented this event as one happening in the near future, but it *appears* that it is something that will either happen in the far future, or in the near future only after some tremendous social upheaval which removes from power all the existing governments of the most powerful countries.
Conclusion: this event does not seem likely to happen within our lifetimes. Are you saved? Then when (and how) the tribulation arrives doesn't matter - your eternal condition is assured in any case. Not saved? Ditto. The tribulation should have no effect whatsoever on the "final destination" of anyone on earth (except, perhaps, for those non-Christians who have to live through it and, recognizing it, convert). It's a non-issue.

I do know what the Tribulation is and I do believe it will happen and that things will be so much worse then than they are right now (if you can even imagine).
Have you read the Left Behind series of books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins? You would probably really enjoy reading them. There are 13 books total (I think). I'm on book 10. Although they are just novels, they are based on the book of Revelation and reference many other books in the Bible, especially those containing prophesies.
I believe we are living in the end days, although it could be another 60 - 70 years before the Rapture and Tribulation. That's not very much time to decide what you believe.
If I didn't remember the videos, I would definitely remember the Left Behind books!

Christians know it's coming! I'm saved and so is my wife. The Bible mentions in Thessalonians that we will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Immediately after the rapture, there will be a seven year period of tribulation on the earth and we are told that it will be a time more terrible than any other in the history of the world. Most of the entire population will be wiped out and there will be no rain on the earth for the first 42 months (3.5 years) This will be sent as a judgment on the earth as anyone who is left behind is not saved at the start of the tribulation however, if they become saved during the tribulation, they will pay for it with their lives as they will refuse to worship the beast or receive the mark. without this mark, no one can buy or sell. There are two excellent movies available for you to view as I have seen both of them. "A thief in the night" deals with the return of Christ and "distant thunder" deals with the tribulation. I would seriously suggest you view both as they are fairly accurate as to what will happen. God Bless!

No! But I can tell you what the bible says will happen! Firstly the rapture will happen after the tribulation that being that he will take his followers to heaven after it. The rapture is only backed up by one verse in the bible the idea of the rapture is mainly based on a word given by someone in the 1800's
The tribulation however will occur for a period of seven years when the anti christ will rule over the earth. Christians will be persecuted during this period along with those who dont commit themselves to the anti christ.

Yep.... sounds about right from what I read in the Bible. I just started reading the book Late Great Planet Earth and one of the the facts that is often ignored is that the Jews had no homeland for over 2000 years and even with many trying to destroy it they are back in their own land and that was prophecized 2600 years ago...
Let's see in his book Hal Lindsey (written 40 years ago) he quotes authors that wrote in the 1800's saying Israel would be restored (it was..1949) and that Iran and Russia would join up (today's news with Pres. Putin was just in Iran), China and the east would be a super power (they are launching space shots now.. seems to be right).... etc. etc.
Yep...I would have to say it is right and those that come to believe after the Rapture will be terribly persecuted!
Back to the Bible is doing a series on Revelations that is worth listening to.

there are 3 views of the tribulation
pre; mid; post
pre- this is where some believe that the Church will be taken away from the earth before the tribulation/plagues. And Christ will return after those happenings.
mid - this is where some believe that ALL will go through the tribulation yet mid ways Christ will return and let the wicked finish it out.
post - this is where some believe that Christ will 'rapture' the Church after the tribulation.

The "Rapture" is a false doctrine invented in the 19th century. No Christian believed in it prior to the 1800's. Quit watching those goofy Left Behind movies.

The videos seemed pretty accurate. Since I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who has already paid for my sins I will not be left behind.
I will pray for those of you who scoff at this. What we are seeing in the world today is just a small taste of what the tribulation will be like.

Great tribulation:
Matthew 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Rapture ?
2 Thessalonians 2 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:
only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Here is where you will find the church being pulled up and out…: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
This is the Holy Spirit…the comforter that the Lord left with us…
If the Holy Spirit is with us then we must be removed with the Holy Spirit…
Jesus calls to the Bride ….the church
1 Thessalonians 4 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
(In this event 1 Thessalonians 4 the Lord calls us to him in the air, in a cloud, he is not earthbound, Also, that we will be with him for ever more, this event is for the dedicated “Christian.” Look carefully where he is…in the HEAVENS…where are we…EARTH…this is important to note. The Lord descends with a shout, a shout dedicated Christians will be able to hear… He is only calling those who he knows. This is not a silent event… Christians will hear him loud and clear, he needs no “power” with him, he’s not taking us by force, he’s taking us by love. When he comes after the tribulations he comes with “power and glory” and all will see him… But in the event - described in 1 Thessalonians 4 he is gathering his “bride” and the door is shut for that ceremony.)
If you are a dedicated Christian for Jesus….no worries…but… God have mercy on those left here when Satan takes his place!
God bless you,
Faith
