They knew that they were made in God's image (God was a dinosaur). There was constant in-fighting between the dinosaurs because the carnivores believed that he has sharp teeth and the herbivores believed he had a long neck. Eventually, all this ridiculous arguing over who's doctrine was right just got to be too much for the Divine, and a comet was sent to start over with a new species, in hopes that they would not make the same mistakes that the dinosaurs did. Unfortunately, that species fell into a train of thought that made them continue to think like pea-brained dinosaurs.

The real answer:
the same place that they do in the non-religion thing. They used to be alive. Now they're extinct.
There *are* some who, interpreting an English translation of the bible in an unwarrantedly narrow manner in passages in which it was not intended to be so interpreted, claim that dinosaurs lived concurrently (and *only* concurrently) with men, but any reasonable person who studies Genesis chapter 1 will understand that the "days" cannot be 24-hour days. After all, the sun was created on the 4th "day," and *our* 24-hour days are wholly dependent on the relationship of the earth to the sun. A person who studies the underlying (original) language can confirm that this meaning (24-hour days) is not the only meaning of the words used. Just as we can say "in their day", meaning an entire period of time, so the ancient Hebrew word translated as "day". Indeed, the bible makes it clear that land animals (including dinosaurs) were created prior to mankind.
Thus, the answer to your question is that they fit in very nicely to any reasonable Christian's religion. Only those who cavalierly misinterpret Genesis chapter 1 have a problem with this.

In general, they don't. Dinosaurs lived before humans, and religion is a human institution, so religions don't typically account for dinosaurs. But there are some Greek myths that were probably based on the discovery of dinosaur fossils.

If fits into the mountain of evidence against the divinity of the Bible and other religions. The people who wrote the Bible didn't know Dinosaurs existed, so they weren't included or thought of.

A lot of religious people accept that the timescale of our planet is much longer than that depicted in the Bible.
Only Biblical Literalists believe that dinosaurs lived alongside humans - that, or that dinosaurs never existed.
