there is no SHOULD. only what other people expect of you.
seek the answers from yourself, not other people. you are the only one who has to deal with your own choices after all, so why not make them by yourself, for yourself?
if YOU choose to seek God through Christianity, then good for you, but just realize, there is a world of options out there, and you can always come back :) happy hunting ;)
Edit: i feel sorry for all you people who thumbs downed me. you apperently didnt realize you had a choice when you were young. dont take that choice away from someone else just because you were too blind to see it yourself

Well, idk y 14 is the question, I know that EVERYBODY basically has an idea of what they agree with & what they don't agree with, and I know that Christianity is a SURE thing, so you either agree or disagree. There are no "signs" and getting to know God is an everyday thing as we grow closer praying, worshiping, and learning about God. If you ARE a Christian, YOU KNOW. There comes a point in time where a child will start to break from their parents, and it's not just teenage rebellion for what they wear and what music they listen to. They also are trying to find WHAT THEY BELIEVE. Therefore, while she may know ABOUT God, if she doesn't know God for herself, she should make the decision to get to know Him herself. Accepting Jesus, being a Christian, is a personal thing, so everybody has to make that decision. If she has made that decision, she doesn't automatically know everything, but she should definitely know that she IS a Christian. Staying in the Word will help her LOTS. There's SO much pressure from EVERYWHERE. Having the Word of God in her heart will help her find her way, not only now at 14 but forever.

the simple answer, for any age, would be to say that if you have to ask then you are not... Just because one has been among Christians from Birth and gone to Church and all the other stuff will not make them a Christian... Only God may declare someone a True Christian. Just following the teaching of Jesus is not enough.
All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith.
if you do not know The Way... then you can not come to God as He prescribes.

That's difficult to answer. I will say this, if a person is a Christian, they should know it, one way or another.
This may help you figure this out for yourself:
The only way to know if you are a Christain or not is one thing (non-Catholic response here*): Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins? Have you accepted him as your Lord and Savior? If your answer is yes, then you are a Christian.
That is the gist of it. Everything else is just developing your relationship with God, and growing as a Christian.
Hebrews 11:6 (King James Version) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
1 John 5:1 (King James Version) Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God...
Mark 16:16 (King James Version) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved
John 3:16 (King James version) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me.
I hope I helped. God bless you.

If her parents taught her well, and continue to teach her well, even in her adult life, she'll know.
When I was 8 years old, I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I done that at the urging of an '80 show, Joy Junction. I was REALLY into that and Circle Square. My knowledge was not as much as it is today, but anything's possible.
I once met someone who told me her daughter at a very young age decided she did not want anything to come between her and God.
Anything's possible there!

That is about the age where a lot of people question their belief systems. They have developed cognitive thinking in the past 2 or 3 years and start to realize that the religion of their parents doesn't often make sense.

She might be sure in her own mind, but there's no must about it.
There's loads of knowns and unknowns at that age.
Bother. Make that "at any age".
Any person who's convinced they don't have anything new to learn or discover is effectively dead. And learning new things *can* mean things you thought you knew for certain were wrong.
(I became a Christian age 20, and an atheist age 38)

14 is a little young to be making decisions that could potentially effect your entire life. I don't believe that a 14 year old can know true love, so I don't believe that a 14 year old can have a deep understanding of god. However, a 14 year old may be more likely to believe in such things, because of the maturity level and education level.

Your selection of clothing has little or no to do along with your morality. Why do you like to benefit abdomen-dancing? If that's for exciting, then why don't you? that's sturdy to benefit a sparkling potential. I purely began studying touch juggling. in case you're doing it to charm to adult men, then... you're in all probability in greater of a gray area in accordance to Christianity. purely analyze your motives for desirous to take the class--sin isn't in the action yet in the reason.

If you have accepted Jesus as your saviour, you are a Christian. You cannot rely on 'feeling' like a christian , you must just put your faith in what the Bible says about it. My son became a Christian aged 6.

Age has nothing to do with it.
To be Christian you have to have faith that god is real, and believe that Jesus Christ was his son. That's really all that's required to be christian. If you choose to join one of the various christian sects, they each have further beliefs and rules you must adhere to.
If you aren't sure whether you believe or not, there's nothing wrong with waiting until later to make up your mind. Anyone who tries to pressure you/frighten you/coerce you into making a decision now is not your friend.
