My family and friends :)

Here's something I wrote a week ago, before my Mom was ill again:

There are so many things I'm grateful for!! Just for being alive :)

Two things I always keep in mind:

My Mom's health - she had lung cancer, two and a half years ago, and still needs treatment and care. But she's here, with us and, despite her many health problems, she's relatively well, and able to do most things she likes :)

and

The fact that, despite my family's financial situation, that hasn't been good, lately, we live in an apartment with a wonderful view, that includes the ocean, hills and mountains, and an old convent with more than 500 years old, a very beautiful historic place. I can see all this from my bedroom's window :)

I am thankful for many things....especially family, friends, and the better health I have enjoyed over the past few months after I went through a rough time last spring. I have a lot to be thankful for this year.

Quiet morning at home, fixing a few dishes and playing on the computer followed by an evening with family pigging out.

I'm thankful for the people who make the Thanksgiving celebration and all of my days go by without the little disasters of poor mail delivery, missed trash collection, no food on the grocers shelves, and the like.... I'm not only thankful of them but I'm making a point to be thankful to them.

Screw God... Praise the garbage man and the shop keeper. They're the ones doing the work.

And to all of you, teachers and students, workers and owners, all alike... Happy Thanksgiving to all, and thanks... to each of you.

I am thankful for having tomorrow and Friday off, sleeping in on both days and watching TV, and most of all being with my son who is four without him having to share me with other children(I work in a child care center.)
