Yes, I have been one for 20 years and was/am most impressed with the faith.
For one, Jehovah's Witnesses are not after your money. There is no mandantory donation, no collection plates and no salaries.
Additionally, you can ask all the questions you want....you study and research the Bible and history to make sure these things are so. Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21
The personal home Bible study is free of charge and you are encouraged to do library and outside research as well as being able to ask all the questions you like on any topic including the rumors and gossip you have heard about us.
Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus is truly and literally God's Firstborn Only Begotten Son he sent down from heaven, that heavenly life is for the judge....there is a righteous new heavens and earth...2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1-4, Matthew 5:5, 6:10, Isaiah 11:6-9.
You can get free King James Bibles, American Standard, New World Translation and some other Bibles from/through the Kingdom Hall....
If you are uncomfortable having JWs in your home for the study, you can have such at the public library, over the phone and in some cases over the computer....
There is a lot of false, often very strange, information around about us so it is best to ask an active real JW about them.
Email me if you want to know more....

trustdel.... has the long but correct answer as do others. I add to look at the magazines, the way they are written. Never do they make any statement without scriptural support. They are there because we want the reader to look them up in their own Bibles. Is that not different from other experiences?
You are invited to attend any meeting at any Kingdom Hall in the world. We all teach the same. There are no divisions among us. All you need to bring is your Bible and maybe a pen and paper for notes and empty pockets. No one will force you to participate or cost any money. You will see a happy group of people, usually a bit noisy until the meetings start.
If it is the Watchtower study of articles in the magazine, someone will provide you with the proper issue. As you notice from the first page, lower section, the dates of the particular article will be covered is shown. The public talk before this, is about varied topics and a lot of Bible page turning is done. (That's why note paper and pen is advised.)
Afterwards, ask any question of anyone you see there. All will use the Bible as the source of the information and show you from the Bible the answer.

See the opposition that we have to endure???
Anyhow, we are all united, you can ask ANY JW a question & get the same answer from all, which WILL include Scriptures from your Bible or any Bible, for that matter.
There are many thorough answers on here, the ones claiming to be a JW are THE ONLY CORRECT ANSWERS!!
We should know, right? That is why you directed the question to US ONLY!!
MJ is not a Witness, by the way. His family was when they were all young, but not anymore!! Trust me!!
I have always found our magazines very interesting, too- as they have done much research to back up all the articles.
http://www.watchtower.org is our ONLY official site on the internet. So, please don't trust any others.
Also, jwmedia.org

"A cult is a religion that is said to be unorthodox or that emphasizes devotion according to prescribed ritual. Many cults follow a living human leader, and often their adherents live in groups apart from the rest of society. The standard for what is orthodox, however, should be God’s Word, and Jehovah’s Witnesses strictly adhere to the Bible. Their worship is a way of life, not a ritual devotion. They neither follow a human nor isolate themselves from the rest of society. They live and work in the midst of other people."
-- Reasoning
They are the only ones who really respect what the Bible says and who preach going from door to door as Jesus said.
All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." -- 2 Thimothy 3:16, 17
"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." -- Matthew 28:19
"And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus." -- Acts 5:42
They are warm people who manifest a sincere love and interest towards their brothers and sisters (and not only). Interestingly, the Bible says that Jesus' true disciples will manifest love.
“By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” -- John 13:35
Even being persecuted, they don't give up to their faith.
"Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name." -- Matthew 24:9
"I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world." -- John 24:14

Thanks for enquiring and here are just a few things - we believe the Bible is inspired of God and use it as the standard for all our beliefs, we worship Jehovah as the true God and Jesus is his son and not part of a trinity. We believe Gods kingdom is the only hope for mankind and is a real government that will soon get rid of wickedness. Some we believe go to heaven {144,000) to become kings and rulers with Christ but the rest will live on earth in a paradise.

I am a JW and there is sooo much to say about our religion and beliefs. But to kind of sum it up...we are down to earth people, we are not a sect or a cult. We live our lives in accord with Bible standards...we examine the Bible as a whole, not just the old testament or the new. We examine from Genesis to Revelation. What we teach to others is Bible based...not of our own opinions or thoughts. We do not celebrate holidays, but we have Bible based reasons for doing so...but we do have parties and good times and recreation...like anniversaries, baby showers, graduations, house warming parties, party paries(just to associate and dance), etc. We though face much opposition and persecution from different people who try to slander us and Jehovah God. Please feel free to visit our official website: www.watchtower.ORG or www.jw-media.ORg You can find much more information on there about our religion and beliefs. I also encourage to ask any questions you have to the witnesses again when they visit you or you can go visit a local Kingdom hall in your area(we do not pass around a collection plate either...our work is supported fully by VOLUNTARY donations...)

Just a thought.......but instead of asking on here and having apostates and others who oppose us answer your question why don't you go to your local Kingdom Hall and ask about our religion. Or when they come back to your door you can ask them that. You can also sit in on the meetings and after its over you can ask as many questions you'd like. And I guarentee that you will get answers to your questions.
To those who oppose us in due time you too will change your mind about us. Just a matter of time when learning about Jehovah that you will begin to realize that Jehovah is the only ONE true God and you will become our brothers and sisters. Jesus is not Jehovah but his Son. Jehovah is greater than Jesus and the head of Jesus. Jehovah is not a Trinity god. for more info just go to your local Kingdom Hall and ask questions there they will happily answer your questions. Or you can go to the official website http://watchtower.org
Again the ones opposing us will in due time will become our brothers and sisters. Just like Apostle Paul, before he was an opposer, after he became a brother. Read the Bible about Paul. Have a nice day.

Our Invitation to You
http://watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm?article=article_03.htm
We have enjoyed talking to you through the pages of this brochure. We hope that you have enjoyed learning more about Jehovah's Witnesses. Please accept our invitation to visit us at our local Kingdom Hall. See how our meetings are conducted. See how we endeavor to share with others the good news of a paradise earth under Christ's Kingdom.
God has promised it. "There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell." (2 Peter 3:13) Many centuries have passed. The waiting period approaches its end. World conditions signify this.
"As you behold the day drawing near," the apostle Paul said, "consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together." (Hebrews 10:24, 25) We invite you to heed Paul's advice by assembling with us.
