Can it be called a museum if it doesn't display a single piece of evidence or actual relics or data? I mean, it's only fiberglass figures and mannequins, and plotted texts.....

Why should it be called a museum in the first place??

You were told that you were dying, you prayed constantly to live long enough to see your children grown, yet you grew worse and death became a very close doorway, minutes away. Then when you prayed and said "Ok God, I am ready, I will follow where you lead me, I accept death if You will it, only to rebound and slowly over a bit of time recover from that which was hopeless. How would you feel and react? Me I intend to live, love, and serve.

Okay, I'm asking for OPINIONS here.

Do you think that religious writings (of any kind) should be taught in public schools? If so, all religions? All major religions? Just one? Should they be taught as historical writings, or AS religious documents?

Of course, this will probably never happen with opposition of parents and such. Just a what if question.

I have even heard of people erecting museums that show humans hanging out with dinosaurs.

The universe is not 6000 years old, not even close by a longshot. And this is a provable FACT, which makes it all the more outrageous that there are people that believe and dumbing down young minds out there.

How can I demonstrate this as Fact? Quite simply actually. When you look at the sky on a clear night, some of the stars you see is light that took well over that 6000 year mark just to get to us. There are many objects that are well over 6000 light years away, therefore to even see these objects on Earth the universe has got to be at least as old as however far away the furthest visible object is.

How can we determine how far away these objects are? TRIANGULATION! Thats right, using the same math you learn in high school (albeit on a grand scale).

Look... I am not trying to pick on the religious, nothing wrong with beliving in something. I do however have a problem with LIES!

I asked a J.W. while waiting for the bus about Acts 4:12, which reads:

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

I said: "Who is the name"

She said: "Jesus" - but yet I've heard they don't believe Jesus was a man who at the same time was God, who lived a sinless life, died as a ransom for those who would believe on him and rose on the 3rd day.

I've heard they believe Jesus was an angel, and a key to salvation, but his existence as a man was a myth.

What do they believe about Jesus ?

But my christian friend and his fellow agressors keep jibing me about how I shouldn't be celebrating christmas as I don't understand it's true meaning.

Why in the heck are christians so against me buying gifts for the people I love? Isn't that a big part of what they stand for in the first place?!? To give and not to receive? To be good to your family, friends and neighbours and all that?

Sounds a bit hypocritical to me, just because I'm not religious, doesn't mean I can't buy into the whole "love" thing.

Question is, do I return the MP3 player I bought him as a christmas present to prove a point?

Most mainstream religions tend to be biased towards one another and many western religions, christianity, islam regard mayan, or aztec or any other religions as myth, as if theirs is'nt wrapped up in myth as well, its all in who has the bigger stick really, you beat the weaker one to submission and he has no choice but to submit to your ideas or beliefs (so many cultures and history has been destroyed because of this,, to indoctrinate a culture to their belief system, hence destroying the rich history of a people, as well as their language and way of life) I'm skeptical of the Jesus story (not if he existed) but same with moses and abraham, definately the account of the The Flood and The parting of the Red Sea...I believe as do many other scholars, that most of the stories in the bible, especially in the Old Testament are rehashes of a much ancient text. Just wanted to know, what are your thoughts on this and do you agree/disagree and why?

Thank you everyone

A man called 911 and informed the operator that his neighbors house was being burglarized. He informed the police he had a weapon and might use it. He then told police they were leaving with a bag of loot and went outside to confront them. On the police tape you can clearly hear the man tell them to stop. Then you hear the gun go off. The police where were they when all of this was going on? They show up later and make a statement that this incident will go to the Texas grand jury. What will that outcome be? The police operator said no property is worth shooting anyone over. do you agree or disagree? All responses welcome. I want to hear the Christian, the Muslim and the Jewish response as well as anyone else.
