Her/His whole life, she/he thinks that God doesn't exist and is illogical and then one day realizes God is logical? THAT in itself is illogical!

When Jesus said:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob - God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Which passage in the Old Testament was Jesus referring to where it said that:
God is not the God of the dead, but of the Living? -

Ps 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the OIL OF GLADNESS above thy fellows.
Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the OIL OF GLADNESS above thy fellows.

So which is it... Do I have free will (which I think I do) or does God have a plan for me..?

You know the old saying..."man plans and God laughs".. I take that as no matter what man does god will have him do what he think he should be doing..

I have a problem with that when it comes to free will...

And I do NOT mean that I do not feel that God has an 'idea' of a plan for me. Like my daughter I have ideas of what I would like her to do, but in the end it is ALL up to her.

what do you guys think..?

urine samples at the doctors is coming from my kidneys as I have cancer of the Rectum. I am 38 and female. So christians will you be able to pray for me that I forgive everyone that has hurt me, and for God to help me spend more time with him instead of being on the computor or on the phone as they are distractions. I need to have a right standing with God before I go home.I am so looking forward to going home to glory soon. The pain I get is not that bad compared to most, so God is being so gracious as usual, as he is so awsome. I do get radiating pain from time to time down my left knee, and near my kidneys. But the pain is not that bad but very annoying. My cancer has spread, and I am due to see the specialist very soon.I am not afraid of dying as I know where I am going, but it is the process. I would like to say God bless you all, and hope to see you in Heaven one day.

The main reason I think that I am an atheist is not because of evidence. It is due to the fact that I am a very pessimistic person. I always expect the worst to happen. No one wants to believe that there is nothing for them after death. However, expecting the worst as I always do, I expect there to be nothing after death. Unfortunately, in the real world, the worst is usually what happens. I look at it this way. If there is a God, GREAT. If there isn’t, at least I haven’t wasted my whole life trying to impress him.

has become quite common now for Muslims to always ask their Christian friends to show us where Jesus ever made the statement that he is God and so on, and it has also become common for us Muslims to make the claim that no where in the Bible do we find that Jesus ever said he is God or made it explicitly known. The Christians will counter by bring up John 1:1, to them John 1:1 is the verse they have been looking for, and they most likely tell themselves how is it possible for Muslims to keep on asking where the Bible states that Jesus is God when John 1:1 makes it very clear, here is what John 1:1 says:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

Assuming the translation is correct (which its not, the capital G should be small g, it should read the word was a god, satan is also called god in the Bible yet they give him a small g, but for Jesus a capital!) then what we have here is Jesus who is the word is called God, wow I guess Jesus

http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19626303.600-evolution-wars-take-a-bizarre-twist.html

Now, certain activist Christian groups cry about not being able to promote their teachings in school, yet, an evolutionist curriculum that offers that you can be religious and still accept concepts in evolution. That pretty much describes my beliefs.

Yet here a group is using the courts to block such a teaching...

They are using a technique in law that they complain is used against them. I feel that doing this will also get normal religious discussion blocked entirely from schools.

In Christianity, we are our worse enemy sometimes.

Thoughts?

Should yahoo answers make another topic under "Religion & Spirituality". I mean different religions have their own section . "christians for one Atheists for the other and so on".

Is this a good idea?
and if Yahoo answers reads this please take it into mind!
