Mark 185, John 4:24 says exactly God is spirit. Where is your Bible verse that God became 100% flesh

John 1:1 is not a proof scripture that Jesus was eternally begotten. Come on stop wasting time.

woosiedoosie, it says in the Bible that man became a living soul and not the soul is part of him. He is a living soul.

(1 Corinthians 15:45) . . .It is even so written: “The first man Adam became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. . .

I am Catholic:
For us the holy trinity consists of:

The Father (God)
The Son (Jesus)
and the holy Spirit.

as far as I know the holy Spirit is NOT God.

God is Spirit, according to John 4:24. "pneuma" is the Greek word used, whose primary meaning is "the Holy Spirit." God is Spirit, and so much more! He also has a presence as His presence went with the Israelites on their journey to the Promised Land. He has a voice that moves as in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve sinned. He sometimes sends an angel of the Lord to do His will, such as announcing the birth of Jesus to the shepherds or the destroyer who took the lives of all the Egyptian first-born sons. He has become 100% flesh as in Jesus Christ, and even the angels beside the pre-incarnate Christ appearing to Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah appeared as men. After Christ's resurrection, He re-appeared to the Apostles...Thomas even put his hand in the wound on Christ's side! To say that God is only a Spirit being is incorrect.
It is difficult to describe the substinence of God, like the components of the Trinity, without also describing the essence of God, like love. Look at 1 John 4:16, "...God is love..." God is also patient, kind, and long-suffering, to name a few. He was man (Jesus was 100% man and 100% God.); He is the Holy Spirit; and He is God the Father.
The Holy Spirit is one component of the Trinity of God.

All are God. United in Essence and Will. If anything, the only way they differ is in their relationship. The Father is the sole source. The Son is eternally begotten of the Father. The Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father. Each of the hypostases of the Trinity, the one God, is united with the other, where one is, all are. But in our limits, we apprehend each in a different way. The Father is apprehended as so majestic and august as to be unapproachable by limited beings as ourselves. Thus, the Son is the Mediator. The Holy Spirit is the paraclete, the Helper through the process.

(To answer the eternally begotten issue - John 1:1)

To answer the main question, you could look at it in our image, since we are created in His image. We are a spirit (God) wrapped in a body (Jesus) that posesses an immortal soul (Holy Spirit). This isn't a perfect analogy, but you could look at it that way. There is no perfect way to understand this in our humanity. We cannot comprehend how something can be one and three at the same time; all parts unique but the same at the same time.

The same way Jesus is God even though Jesus came in flesh and a Branch of God.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit are a part of the Father God, but still God also. Three in One. Jesus said, "I and the Father are One."

I know--it can all be very confusing can't it. I look at it like I am composed of 'body' 'soul' 'spirit'.
God the Father BODY
God the Son SOUL
God the Holy Spirit SPIRIT
Three in one. I need all three to survive, but they are all three distinct.

If you have trouble with the Trinity think of it this way:

God is: The Father
God is: The Son
God is: The Holy spirit

The Father is not The Son

The Son is not The Father

The Father is not The Spirit

The Spirit is not The Father

The Son is not The Spirit

The Spirit is not the Son

God is spirit energy in a fixed position. His gravity on Paradise holds all universes in their positions. He created the Infinite spirit and his Eternal Son to do his bidding.

The Holy spirit is God. They are one spirit. The same spirit that was in Jesus when he walked the earth. Thats why we need to cherish the precious spirit that God has blessed us with

If you believe in the Trinity, here's my take:

God, the Father--creator of all
Jesus, the Son-- teacher of all
Holy Spirit--guide and inspiration FOR all.

For me, this simple explanation is my beginning of understanding the Trinity.
