This doesn't sound particularly loving to me.

Also, I bet that's an awkward Father's Day conversation.

Does it relate any to your religion?

If you don't have any traditions, why?

Happy Thanksgiving.

since some people, i.e. creationists, are so taken in by the idea that evolution is just a theory and not a fact, i'm curious to know what you would define as fact and what is your basis for defining something as fact?

And what blessings would you consider to be some of your most meaningful?

I'm still writing that darned paper of mine about whether the person and ministry of Jesus is efficacious today. It supposed to be due but I haven't been able to get anything down and I have to write 5 pages.

I'm curious about whether he does say something against it and if he does, can you tell me in which book and what verse.

Also, are there any other things that a lot of Christians do today that Jesus specifically spoke against? ie. divorce

your faith appears to be very Self Righteous..What are you thoughts on this Bible story in comparison to people of your faith?
Luke 18:9-14
To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

It's kind of obvious it's an attack on Science education in fear that science literacy undermines religious belief. There's no history at all of scientists or science teachers trying to push science education into Sunday School classes, or Seminary.

Here are some examples:

Genesis:
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
3:6 ... and he did eat.
5:5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died

In Genesis, God predicted that Adam would die the day he ate from the tree. It took a day + 930 years. That's pretty accurate, right?

How about this one? It's about King Solomon and is from 2 Samuel:
7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
7:16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

Since Solomon's Kingdom of Israel is still around and wasn't destroyed by the Assyrian Empire in around 720 B.C., this prophecy came true as well.

In light of all these "fulfilled" prophecies, how can people not believe in the Bible?

Or is it that an infinitely loving being that could somehow morally justify torturing even one of its beloved creations for all of eternity is without any exception paradoxical in the extreme, and they are amazed that anybody could possibly delude themselves to the point that they could believe that they LOVE this evil being?
-
Or is it just that Christians as well as other punishment/reward religions have an extremely adverse impact on the progress of humanity toward a peaceful, unified society collectively interested in good for the sake of good, love the sake of love and not following altruisms in fear of a clearly unloving god, an eternal depth of torment or death?

What do you think?

I don't have god in my life but I probably lead a more Christian life than most christians. Does good look on me as a sinner because I don't pray or worship him. Am I excluded from heaven simply because I am a non believer even though I have sinned less than all his subjects.
