And what blessings would you consider to be some of your most meaningful?

Folks, I never give a thumbs down to anyone who answers my questions. My apologies to those who have received them.

Well i guess it depends on which day I'm asked LOL...

Seriously though ~ for me the greatest blessing of all time is knowing that there is a God who not only created me but knows me and loves me in such a way that's indescribable.
My family are a huge blessing - and some ppl who have crossed my path through out my life ~ if i had to count them i might be overwhelmed ~ so i would say God's blessings to me are **Infinite**

This is an interesting question, Red Queen. I have 2 perspectives on blessings -- my human view and my Godly view. One is limited and finite, and the other is unlimited and infinite. At the risk of delving into specifics, I will say I have 3 main blessing categories in life - Family , friends and health.

Mine are infinate... and can not truely be counted or I would spend my life doing just that... but it is also a mindset - how do you see the events, things, actions in your life?

I'm blessed by a loving family and being surrounded by the support of those who mean the most to me. I'm blessed with a job when so many are unemployed - even if it's not my dream job.

I'm blessed with food on the table when so many starve and can't feed their children - even if all I'm making is frozen pizza or ramen noodles...

I'm blessed with a roof over our heads - even if it is cramped and small - for there are others with nothing to protect them from the elements.

I'm blessed with the arguments I get into with my mother... she may drive me crazy, but then I remember those who do not have parents to talk to...
I could complain about what I don't have, but I prefer to see what I do.

EDIT- Seriously? I get a thumbs down for a positive outlook on life? Wow... so to the person who felt that necessary, let me add another blessing - I'm blessed by the thumbs down because at least I have the freedom to spend my time sharing with those of you here who I've grown to know and respect because there are so many that are lonely.

I believe that I could not even begin to "count my blessings" for this year alone. I am not sure if they are proportionate but it could have something to do with how we look at things. My most meaningful blessings this year have been my very life and Independence, in a manner of speaking. Let's just say I have confounded some very skilled medical personnel. I give thanks to a higher Physician.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

Most definately infinite through Christ. The most meaningful blessing in my life is the fact that God loves me no matter what. Thats a blessing in and in itself!

infinite. yes, i think they are proportionate to your view of things.

when i separated from my husband, my life was really hard, raising 3 kids, no money, no car, no family close by etc etc. i worked as many as 3 jobs at a time.

well, there were many people who "accused" me of having the perfect life and perfect kids. well, it wasn't because of my material wealth, it was because of my attitude. i was always positive and happy. my family was healthy and we had enough money to feed ourselves and pay our bills (just barely with nothing left over)

if those people had looked deep into my life, they would never have chosen it for themselves, but i was (and still am) happy and blessed to have it.

i feel blessed that i have what i do - 3 great children, a wonderful spouse (now), everything we need, and a few extras.

thanks for the reminder!

Blessings are based on a value system, and a belief system of right and wrong. So to counts ones blessings they would only have to examine their views of right and wrong and look clearly at what they believe to be correct and true. As for my opinions on meaningful blessings, would only be one, the ability to think.

The blessings I know of are infinite.
No, people are blessed and don't even know of it and can't see their blessings.
My most meaningful are my husband and children. Beyond that I would say unanswered prayers.
Thanks for making me think of this.

I always say, "my cup runs over". . . .and it does. . .my blessings are infinite.

My most meaningful blessings are my children, my love and our home. . . .I can't even begin to put it all in words. My blessings are not the material things. . .they are much greater and are simply priceless.

I have been blessed in so many ways. I am also sure that I have been blessed in ways I do not even know about.
