And it's always the 'open minded' athiests. Who's afraid of opinions?

I think they know they are talking trash and don't want to be called on it. It makes no sense to block anyone. If you don't want to hear opposing opinions ..get out "notepad" and write to yourself all day long!

I have not blocked anyone yet. I would only block people if they were harrassing me in some way. I have had very insensitive answers to questions but I did not block them since I probably never have them in my answers again. I have put a lot of spam in my email though. I get so many lotto winnings, work offers overseas where they need my entire information like address, etc. - I spam them all. They are illegal I was told by the BBB.
Well, I am not feeling good today. My chest has hurt a bit and I don't know why.

I recently let fly, and removed the blocks of all those I have blocked here...Guess what. Just this morning, I got 4 violation notices. I have no problem with peoples comments, but the violation weenies certainly have issues with my opinions. So I will have to go back and re-block the ones that I had blocked before, so I can at least answer some questions...There is no free speech here.

The truth or reality is the enemy of fantasy. The truth has power. If you have the a good handle on the truth, you have little to fear from what ever verbal abuse, or negative comments someone may make. If your truth is shakey, or you have fantasy mixed in, you have a lot to fear, if you are not wanting to lose your beliefs for something else. Fantasy always has to be running scared, because reality always tries to intrude. The truth does not tend to be on the extreme side. The slippery slope tends to be where it is found. It tends to be messy, complicated. and when applied a mixture. Reality is rarely pure or simple.

Insulting people doesn't help your cause at all. And just because you "think" that you know the truth doesn't make it so. Maybe they just don't want or care to hear your "opinions". Besides, I only block people who (I feel) have their finger on the report button.

Let me make myself perfectly clear. I dislike BASHERS intensely and I will call them on it.. If someone sends me a nasty email, I will block them.
I thumbs up, answers I like, and I thumbs down ones I don't like, and disagree with. Isn't that what the rating system is for?
I will always report racist, and bigoted remarks, and antisemitism is vile, and I will report that , too.
Anyone has a problem with that.
Email me, nicely

I just blocked a person who sent me some questionable mail, and who then added herself as a contact. I have no reason to believe that this person wants to befriend me, but I am certain she is going to go through my q&a looking for violations. In order to protect this account, I was left with no choice other than to remove her.

All of this because I came to a hurting woman's defense, after she asked for compassion and was shown rudeness in it's stead. If that makes me closed-minded, then so be it.

There's nothing a Christian can say to me that will make me afraid, as I, being an atheist, think he's made a mistake and taken an ancient fairy tale to be factual.

I'd be no more frightened than if a person came up and told me to watch out, lest Zeus shoot a thunderbolt at me.

I only block the people that personally attack me with idiot statements, that even a stupid non liberal like me takes as an insult. It has to be pretty bad

If I was afraid of reading different opinions, why would I be on this site in the first place? That doesn't make any sense.
