I'm still writing that darned paper of mine about whether the person and ministry of Jesus is efficacious today. It supposed to be due but I haven't been able to get anything down and I have to write 5 pages.
I'm curious about whether he does say something against it and if he does, can you tell me in which book and what verse.
Also, are there any other things that a lot of Christians do today that Jesus specifically spoke against? ie. divorce

Jesus peak against divorce in the book of Matthew 19:4 when a Pharisee asks him if it's lawful for a man to divorce his wife. It says:
"Have you not read that the one who made them in the beginning 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
I read over my question and I had like... one typo. If anything, you're the silly one. You can take your comment and shove it up your butt. I hate it when people say things without backing it up. It just shows how ignorant you are.
Now some people may disagree with me about the marriage thing. I'm not Christian, I stopped being a Christian ages ago and I have no intention of going back. So I am going to take the Bible literally, although I don't know how you can look at that passage metaphorically.

Jesus doesn't talk specifically about abortion in the Bible. He doesn't speak directly about drug use either. Or incest. Or quite a few other things that most people would consider wrong these days. He does talk about spiritual principles, however. Love your neighbor as yourself, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you... From these principles, we extrapolate the idea that abortion might not be the best idea.
Now personally, I think that God is BOTH Pro-life and Pro-choice. I don't think that God wants us to have abortions, but obviously God lets us make our own choices regarding the matter. Just like how God lets us make choices concerning drug use, murder, etc. I do think that there are natural consequences to our choices, i.e. the post-traumatic stress that follows an abortion and possibly a lifetime of regret, etc.
You're absolutely right in saying that there are a lot of things that Christians do to today that Jesus specifically spoke against. Divorce is a good example. How we use our money (wealth) is a great example in the US. Other things that we can't see outright, like pride, lust, envy, etc. Check out Mark 7:21-22 for a short list of things that come out of a person.

Abortion was not prevalent among the Jewish people in Jesus' time. During the time when the Israelites came to the Promised Land, those already there were guilty of idol worship. They worshiped Ba'al and fertility gods. The major manifestation of that worship was the sacrifice of children on the fires that had been lit on the altars for the idols. They used herbs to cause unborn children to be born early. Therefore, they supposedly had a purer sacrifice. This was the reason that God had the Israelites wipe out the inhabitants, because of over 430 years of child sacrifice in worship to these idols. Because the Israelites later took on the same idol worship, they were judged by God. Every time Judah or Israel fell, it was because of this idol worship, which always included the child sacrifice. It is sometimes referred to in the Bible as "the sin of Manasseh", after a king that was particularly heavy into the idol worship, until he repented and turned back to God. As a matter of fact, every time in the Bible that a king's reign is summed up, it makes note of whether he stopped the idol worship, or not. It will recount whether he tore down the high places of the idol worship. Jeremiah 18 & 19 deal quite fully with this sin, as he is told by God to take the leaders to the valley of Ben Hinnom (the Valley of Blood), where they committed these horrors, to pronounce God's judgment on the nation.

In the book of Leviticus (not sure where) it talks about being a live when blood starts to flow, so that is some where around 14 days gestation (being pregnant). Since most women don't know they are pregnant until around 3-4 weeks I think Thou shalt not kill is a good one.
As far as things people do today how about convent they neighbors wife, honor thy mother and father, remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. I think people today break just about every one of the commandments God gave us.

Often a fetus is refered to as a fish by pro-choice activist. But here is an account of John the Baptist leaping in the womb of his mother when hearing the news that Jesus was going to be born.
Luke 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
JESUS
Luke 17:1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
Luke 17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones

How about "thou shalt not kill"? Or all those verses about if someone offends a little child it is better for them to have a millstone hanged about their neck and be thrown into the sea? Jesus loved children, there is no doubt of that. He would not support a woman's "choice" to rip those unborn children asunder in the womb and then suck them out and throw them in a dumpster. No way.

I don't have the Bible in front of me, but YES!!!! It specifically mentions not killing an unborn child. It says if a person hurts someone pregnant and they baby is aborted they face the same, basically. But look it up in the OT. Its in there. Quite specifically, really.

The bible itself has 2 faces on this. In quite a few instances, it says life starts at the "first breath," which is why Jewish people believe this, while in one case, John jumps in his mother's womb for joy, implying life is already there.

Abortion - Termination of pregnancy and expulsion of an embryo or of a fetus that is incapable of survival.
Murder - The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice.
The two are not the same. The bible specifically prohibits murder. It states nothing of abortion.
People should consult their dictionaries and stop forcing their beliefs on others. Women should be allowed to make decisions about their bodies without others condemning them. 2D

Well.....
Jesus was God in the flesh......and God Himself said that you shall not murder.
I believe that the Scriptures are pretty clear........murder is wrong. And with the technology that we have today to be able to see inside a mother's womb.....it's crystal clear that a fedus is a viable, living person.
