He still is.
You do not hear of it any less or any more than people in the past heard of it. Do you think the average Joe in Moses time knew what Moses was hearing from God? No. It's only through the Bible that we know of these things and in that day it would only be the people who spoke to Moses who knew, and only knew what he told them.
God still interacts as much today as in the past. If you find someone he interacts with and talk to them, you will hear about it, just like in the old days if you talked to the right person you would hear.

He didn't stop. I talk with God every day. I say WITH and not TO. I have running conversations with God all the time. He has shown me many things, and sometimes he does give me words to write, or to speak. God didn't stop talking, people stopped listening.
With Love,

He is even more interactive today!
Christ died so our relationship could be restored with Him.
Christians live in a dynamic and loving relationship with the living God through His Holy Spirit within them.

Well, there are people walking around everyday saying God talks to them...
so did He really stop? or did people just stop believing that He could? If someone walks around saying God talks to them, most people would say they're either crazy or lying...
Back then, people would believe they were telling the truth, only now, we'd believe they weren't...

God's clearest revelation is Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man. Jesus is found in the self-authenticating, God-breathed Word contained in the Old and New Testaments. God's Holy Spirit speaks to you through the Bible when you read it.

He never stopped communicating with the purest of heart. As for the others, too many people stopped listening or closed the line of communication by trying to warp it for selfish interests.
