I've heard many different people speak in toungues and there are so many S's - Is there a reason behind this?

It depends on who is speaking in tongues. Min doesn't use a lot of "s" sounds and it hasn't changed since I became an atheist either.

Medical studies show that the language portion of the brain has minimal activity when speaking in tongues.

Not sure why zoology, but probably related to the word tongue.

The glossolalia I've heard had a lot of "ch"s and "k"s, but not a lot of "s"s. It sounded like "chaka-laka, chaka charaka." I guess that's because it was Catholic tongues and not protestant tongues. Go figure.
