R & S gets so many hateful mean comments, that I find it l"a gauntlet" to participate in humble defense of the faith that brings me there.

So I'm offened that sincere loving prayer requests seem to be sensored, rather than hatful taunting of believers.

Maybe, if some find prayer offensive, prayer requests could be a seperate category. This would bless many, perhaps beyond out abuility to understand, while harming none!!!

When prayers are disallowed, who benefits?

It seems another anti-Christian limitation of free speech.

I'm sensitive to the issue, because it reminds me of the state's growing limitation of the church, under the quise of "seperation of church and state", bordering on state-sponsored agnostisism.

My Jewish grandparents were robbed and then murdered by German invaders to Poland in WWII...so I find limitations of (loving) speech of any religeon offensive.

Limitations of hateful speech is right, on the other hand.

Can we disagree nicely? 0K?

"Then go forth and baptize in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."
In this line from the Gospels, Jesus Christ clearly establishes the concept of the trinity. Which verse is that?

ezekiel 5:5: 'thus saith the lord god: this is jerusalem. i have set her in the midst of the nations and countries that are round her.'

jerusalem in the midst of something? on whose map? jerusalem is on the edge of the mediterranean, on the edge of the arabian world. it isn't in the midst of anything at all.

but then again there is no 'midst' on the surface of a sphere. the concept of a central location makes sense only in the context of a flat circular earth.

god goofs again?

Most religions are of the view that god is Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient. If god is omnipresent, then where is the place for evil to exist outside god? If you recognize separate existence for evil, then you have to forgo god’s Omnipresence. If evil is another power that is outside, or challenging god’s power, then god is not Omnipresent. If he is not omnipresent and Omnipotent, He can’t be Omniscient. God loses his essential qualifications to be god if evil exits as a separate force.

Before i begin let me clarify that no I am not interested in being a part of any mud slinging game with anyone on this forum. I am only here to clarify the misconceptions people have about ISLAM and my inbox looks nice. But there are people who don't miss any opportunity of painting me in a bad colour and cornering me because I use this forum for propogating ISLAM, which obviously goes against their agenda of spreading hatred between hindus and muslims. My question is so what? Show me one person who is not using this forum to say what he wants to? Also i don't think this section, 'RELIGION & SPIRITUALITY' is for contributing cooking recipes. Actually it is these people who are peace-haters. They don't want hindus and muslims to breathe in the same air. There is one such gentlemen who has a very impressive profile, he is very learned but comes across as equally crude when he opens his mouth, in this case, pains his fingertips to type considering this is a writer's medium. Slowly, I have learned that HE is not just behind muslims but all nonmuslims living in india. He says he is a londoner and hinduism personified. If the excerpt of one of his answers to a question on secularism is anything to go by, is this what hinduism stands for? If yes, then are hindus actually repenting their choice of sharing this soil with nonmuslims since so long?
He says:-

India's secularism is something to deplore and NOT something to boast about. It should have been classified as a HINDU country way back in 1947. The only Indians who love secularism are those Indians who are cowards, eunuchs, wimps and who are too weak to stand up for Hinduism. The only way they can camouflage their weakness is by hiding behind the banner of secularism, just like a little boy hides behind his mum's saree.

10 = I understand humans extremely well.
1 = I don't have a clue about humans, even myself.

It's a subtle difference as the former would result in apathy (after all, I don't believe in unicorns, but I'm not on a crusade against unicorns) and the latter would result in active proselytizing for atheist converts. So is atheism an active belief system akin to a religion? If not, then why are atheists not merely apathetic? Why is it they proselytize their "faith" so actively (in a similar way to militant Islamic extremists)?

It will bring a flood of people to the internet asking about what a Mormon is. They think it's a normal Protestant denomination now. They will not only look on the LDS web site, but everywhere else as well. They will find out things you don't want them to know. They will find out milk and meat together. They will realize how ridiculous and baselsss your beliefs are. Do you really want that?

I don't mean to sound antagonistic there, let me elaborate:

You ask why we don't believe in your god, but for what reason should we? Just because your religion dictates that all people should believe the same as you less they received eternal torment after death? So what about all the other non-believers besides atheists, that have their own religion that says the same sort of thing but claims that a different god or gods is the real one?

Summing up, please give your reason that you, personally - please don't regurgitate your religion's dictations, think that we should believe in your god?

Hundreds of years and years ago, Bible scholars did not know the spiritual meaning of 2 Peter 3:8. But by God´s mercy we know what is meant because we are very near to the end of time( Daniel 12:8-9).

God reveals his secrets to his prophets in the Bible alone and its entirety( Amos 3:7). Because for everything there is time and judgement (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). The true believers will know time and judgement (Ecclesiastes 8: 5-6).

The unsaved do not know the time because they are not watching (Revelation 3:3 , 1Thessalonians 5:1-6). The only place we watch is by reading the Bible.

Think for example of Herod, he did not know about the birth of Jesus, only the wise man knew (Matthew 2:7).

The Flood occured in 4990 BC. God warned seven(7) days again to Noah (Genesis 7:4).

Each day for thousand years equals to 7000 years. 7000+4990=2011, remember that after adding two calendars together we subtract 1, because there is no year(0) zero - 2011 end of the world, did you know?
