R & S gets so many hateful mean comments, that I find it l"a gauntlet" to participate in humble defense of the faith that brings me there.

So I'm offened that sincere loving prayer requests seem to be sensored, rather than hatful taunting of believers.

Maybe, if some find prayer offensive, prayer requests could be a seperate category. This would bless many, perhaps beyond out abuility to understand, while harming none!!!

When prayers are disallowed, who benefits?

It seems another anti-Christian limitation of free speech.

I'm sensitive to the issue, because it reminds me of the state's growing limitation of the church, under the quise of "seperation of church and state", bordering on state-sponsored agnostisism.

My Jewish grandparents were robbed and then murdered by German invaders to Poland in WWII...so I find limitations of (loving) speech of any religeon offensive.

Limitations of hateful speech is right, on the other hand.

Can we disagree nicely? 0K?

I have often wondered why non-Christians answer questions that refer to Christ or the Bible to begin with.

There is so much blatant disrespect for God and His people nowadays, that I'm surprised the LORD doesn't wipe us out of existence. Thank God for His mercy!

Years ago, even if you weren't a Christian, you respected men and women who were, and you wouldn't dare disrespect God (at least not out loud).

I'm not surprised by this, because I know the world is becoming a darker place daily, but my heart hurts for God, to see Him mocked, and my heart hurts for the people who are so deceived.

Your choices about how or to whom you pray do not and for that matter should not offend me. You are an individual with the right to pray, worship, or not as you see fit. What you are comfortable with, and have knowledge, or faith of/in.. is your own business. It is wonderful that you would take the time to pray for someone, even if you don't believe your type of prayer is what was asked for... that you do so is true charity :) as far as the phrase "God's will be done" ((for me - my opinion, no nasty grams please, lol )) means that though, i may have my heart set on something, or would prefer things to turn out a certain way, I understand, acknowledge, and am comfortable with things going as God would have them, not neccesarily what i think is best. Mostly because as far as i'm concerned, God will always know better than i do, he will always be the better judge of how this world needs to flow. Did that make sense? In any case it's entirely a matter of personal faith and belief. The willingness to give one's own desires up to God, and have faith and trust that we will be at peace with what ever God decides. Great Question, and Good Luck to you!!!

I agree with you. A lot of what goes on here isn't officially within the community guidelines, be it prayer requests or the drinking games. But that's not reason to go around reporting people. We all just need to loosen up.

Be careful, I asked a very similar question about why people report prayer requests, and it was the trigger that caused my level 6 TC account to be suspended.

I have to agree with you...when you put on a legitimate, respectful, non-ranting, question or answer it should not be deleted because others who disagree don't want it there. Also when you are targeted for your beliefs and you haven't violated the guidelines, there should be a legitimate avenue to appeal.
(I say this realizing I am in danger of losing my account though I have done nothing wrong. )

You just happen to be on the wrong forum.

This is Yahoo Questions and Answers.

Yahoo chat and Yahoo prayer requests are on another URL.

Sorry, but the Eternal Yamster doesn't like that type of thing. He objects, and his "crew" goes around and gets those type of answers deleted.

I had a question deleted once 5 weeks after it was decided.

I don't know the answer, but prayer is private and we can
pray without anyone knowing or even telling them. That's what
I do.

Just because you had Jewish grandparents it doesn't mean you have a right to throw a fit everytime someone says something mean to you and then call it "anti-Xian persecution."
