I'm starting a new religion, in which Darryl Hall and John Oates are worshiped as the two-headed God of "Rock, lite." I'd be thrilled if your daughter was to become a charter Fundamentalist Hall/Oates-ian member. I will send you a pamphlet and a registration form. Ohh, for the love of Hall/Oates, I'm psyched!!

I wouldnt "choose" any religion for her. Just explain to her all the different options and let her choose if shes wants too. No matter what religion you choose for her anyway doesnt mean that she will stick with it. Were you both raised atheists or did you choose that later in life. I know I was raised a Catholic but lol. that went out the window in about 3rd grade. All in all your daughter is going to choose what she wants to do for herself. I would just teach her the basics of being a good hearted, honest person. That will get you farther than any religion. Good luck -=)

Actually, some sects of Quaker are hardly fundamentalist. I'd stray away from that and go right into GRAB (General Association of Regular Baptists).

I've asked this question before as to why is it that parents choose the religion of their children at an age that is practically way too young for anyone to know what they are getting into? Bring them up to be good people and support whatever they believe in or do not believe in.

Going by life experience, you can raise a child however you want (religionwise), but when they grow up they will make their own choices anyway. Choose the religion that you believe in that way at least she won't see you as a liar and a fake.

I recommend Southern Baptist. Very restrictive for her, but the services will provide you with fantastic entertainment, should you find yourself with nothing to do some Sunday morning. Plus, you'll find LOADS of other adults to party with. You'll just have to travel to the next town for your fun, as your new-found friends will be unwilling to blow their cover locally.

Mix a lot of them together! That should be fun.
Can you put regular updates of her progress on Youtube?
Have another child too soon and then raise him as an atheist and film their sibling rivalry.

Anything related to christianity...like the Puritans who condoned the Salem Witch Trials...yeah, those were great deluded people.
