You can look it up on Wikipedia, but I'll brief you. They were sort of magicians that were Christians to my understanding. They used natural magic (like herbs and that sort), but at the same time were men of God. I'm not a genius on the subject so forgive me if I'm not 100% correct. Sorry!

Well, from what some of you are saying they don't really sound like Christians, however from what Wikipedia says they were a group of Christians who simply practiced magic.

Based solely on your explanation, I have no problem with it. God created nature for us to use. There is nothing wrong unless they worship another God.

people who practice spiritism are people. So, the question isn't as lots; what do "Christians" think of of Pagans, Wiccans, or witches yet greater-what does Jehovah think of of the practicers of spiritism and those devoid of religion: "YOUR Father who's interior the heavens...makes his sunlight upward thrust upon depraved people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. For in case you adore those loving YOU, what advantages do you have? at the instant are not additionally the tax creditors doing the comparable element? And in case you greet YOUR brothers merely, what mind-blowing element are YOU doing? at the instant are not additionally the people of the countries doing the comparable element?"--MATTHEW 5:45b-40 seven. "Now the works of the flesh are take place, and that they are fornication, uncleanness, unfastened habit, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, suits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and issues like those. As to those issues i'm forewarning YOU, the comparable way as I did forewarn YOU, that people who practice such issues won't inherit God’s kingdom."--GALATIANS 5:19-21. "yet as for the cowards and those devoid of religion and people who're disgusting of their grime and murderers and fornicators and those working in the direction of spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their element would be interior the lake that burns with hearth and sulphur. this implies the 2nd dying.”--REVELATION 21:8. "exterior are the canine and people who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and anyone liking and carrying on a lie."--REVELATION 22:15. If a individual needs to, they might destroy freed from the practice of spiritism. Jehovah is infinitely greater efficient than devil!

i have a friend who is one.....it is a philosophical society based on the ancient religion of the Egyptians....belief in the sun god Ra and reincarnation....this would not be compatible with Christianity, although there is no social conflict between the two groups.

I don't know a lot about them but I think the same of them as I do about any other religious group...as long as it doesn't involve hurting someone else let them believe what they want.

My view is that it is a strange and obscure sect. It makes more sense to believe what mainstream Christians believe

I have no problem with them. I've actually read some of their books, and find their idea of reality to be quite unrealistic. But hey, whatever works for them.

They've never tried to convert me, and the only one I've known was quite nice.

They are a cult that rejects the Bible as the final authority. They're not Christians. They're "mystics".
