It will bring a flood of people to the internet asking about what a Mormon is. They think it's a normal Protestant denomination now. They will not only look on the LDS web site, but everywhere else as well. They will find out things you don't want them to know. They will find out milk and meat together. They will realize how ridiculous and baselsss your beliefs are. Do you really want that?

Alos, he can't beat Hillary, which is bad for me and I know you all want to see me happy.

He's ahead in the polls by a wide margin in most of the early primaries.

Heh
That one stings a little.
I actually considered joining the LDS's while I lived in SLC, but after reading up on the meat, I just couldn't do it.
There are far too many stretches in it.
Believing that John the Revelator is still alive and tarrying on earth was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.
I think you are right, if he becomes the Republican nominee, people will start checking into the belief system and it will have a negative effect on their ability to successfully proselytize.

How can a individual no longer have heard of Mormons? except you reside in a cave someplace, there are Mormons in quite plenty each and every city, plus missionaries, plus homes of worship. a individual could could desire to be heavily remoted to no longer have encountered Mormons. Plus, the e book of Mormon is actual available merely approximately everywhere. It did no longer take Mitt Romney to interrupt the information to me that Mormonism exists.

President Hinckley, our current prophet has indicated that any publicity is good publicity. As a member, I also welcome any and all sincere inquiry into my beliefs.
As far as finding out things that we do not want them too, that is a bunch of rubbish. As long as the things being said about our church are true and doctrinally accurate, they will find only good things in harmony with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hopefully, the american people will not be fooled by the sensational anti-mormon rhetoric found at sites like the one you mention.
For accurate and authoritative information on our church, visit www.lds.org. It has online versions of our standard body of scriptures and other official publications, including all of our lesson manuals that we use in our religious education programs. You can see for yourself what is being taught. For those who are interested in a mere introduction to the church visit www.mormon.org.
Again, I will gladly answer any honest questions regarding my beliefs, so feel free to contact me.

I am really not worried. Those who are really concerned with the truth will find it. I have been to exmormon.org and I know for a fact that some of the things there are blatant lies and quotes taken way out of context. I think anyone with a brain can figure that out. But we know that the media is not concerned with reporting the truth anyway so whatever.
Edit**
I like Marie Osmond for Secretary of State - How about Gladys Knight for VP?

if an LDS gets such a position will signify a very good mark in relation to the rapture. Just thinking of the possibilities sets me into a very happy hopeful frame of mind. The whole planet translated like the city of Enoch? New Zion established without 1000 yrs of woe(s)??

Yes, I could use a couple of more wives. Maybe two or three more, don't want to get carried away, you know.
Btw, I don't like polls, but I believe personally, that more people will vote against Billary, then will vote for her. Many people believe "anyone but Billary." So Romney has a good chance.
And anyway can you think of a better looking "Secretary of State" then Marie Osmond ?

why should we be concerned? this church has survived far more dire circumstances than mere scrutiny of a politician.
plus, what if the extra attention actually helps us, what then?
keep your anti-mormon bigotry to yourself. it doesn't help anyone.

as long as he would just do his job, there is nothing else to say...I do not think he will try to convert the country. he would still be better than Hillary.....and at least looks presidential....I am not voting for him...but just looking at what you said.
