Christmas and easter bring wonderful treasures
But spiders and pumpkins bring far greater pleasures
Goblins and ghosts make far greater hosts
and every year they convene
to wish you a merry, creepy halloween!
This is the night of heavenly frights,
witches on broomsticks are up to their tricks
and poltergeists wail at the moon
which looks like a silver balloon!

Frankenstein monster is having a ball,
scaring the goblins straight off of the wall
Boogeymen dance to our favorite chants
and children are King and queen
they wish you a merry, creepy halloween!

and to make this a question, does anybody know where this song came from?

was nothing special, and that the only thing she did was give birth to you?

This is essentially what Bible Fundamentalists are saying to Jesus when they fail to acknowledge Mother Mary's unique role in Salvation history.

The Lord Jesus is greatly saddened by those who reject His Mother, whom He gave to the world as our spiritual mother from the Cross.

I believe that the Methodists are the most intense about doing good work (although they don't believe that good works are sufficient to lead to salvation). Are there any denominations that believe in doing good works more than the Methodists?

Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri has been studying peppered moths in England and discovered that they conclusively disprove evolution. After spending several months studying the genetics of peppered moths, she found that there was no possible way that they could have evolved.

Peppered moths used to be mostly light-colored before the industrial revolution. After the industrial revolution, most peppered moths were dark colored.

According to Lamarckian evolution, this is because the moths wanted to change color, so they did. But that's absurd! Moths can't just change color whenever they want.

The only alternative is that God decided to make more dark moths because he knew they would be better camouflaged from predators after the industrial revolution. God didn't want the moths to die, so he changed their colors.

This proves that natural selection is false, so evolution is false. The only alternative is to believe in the literal truth of the Bible.

I hear many people talk about "false doctrine" and my question to such people is how do you know it's false? Do you have scriptural reference that your doctrine is true? Can you give me scriptural references telling me that? And if so, how do you know that the bible wasn't tampered with?

I say to each his own, because no matter how badly you want to believe your church, or religion, or the lack there of, doesn't mean it is true, and doesn't mean that the others are wrong.

I can't think of one...

Eg.

cross - "An ancient pre-Christian symbol interpreted by some occultists as uniting the male phallus (vertical bar) and the female vagina (horizontal bar). It is also a symbol of the four directions"

"Jehovah's Witnesses, noting the pre-Christian use of the cross symbol and disputing its early use by Christians reject it as essentially pagan in origin. They hold that the "cross" on which Jesus died was really a single-beamed "stake"."

Christmas - Yule (Jesus was actually born in spring)

Easter - Ostara

(If you answer please come back - i want to see whether or not what you say was actually christian to start with! I'll post here if it was or not - all things mentioned are on internet somewhere so look it up!)

HOW CAN SLAVERY BE RIGHT??

You know I was brought up to think God was brilliant and loved us no matter what.

Now I am 14 and I hear more & more things about Him that frighten me and I heard he believed Slavery was right and that homosexuality is wrong.

What sort of God is he then? Sorry for being rude?

The bible is the word of god.
Christian faith is based on the bible telling the truth.
Yet when your church teaches you something that is not in line with the bible you choose your chuch over gods word the bible.
Example- Acts 2:27 ,31 &32 Jesus was raised from hades (hell) Yet you say he was a perfect sacrafice .Hell is where sinners go for punishment so why was Jesus sent to hell ?
Ecclesiastes 9:5 the dead are conscience of nothing .So why punish those not conscience of the torment ?
Your own bibles words .
One must be correct the other wrong , so which one is it , the church or the bible ?
And what is the logic behind your answer >

As a past Christian I only ask these questions because I couldn't believe some of the stories in the Bible. Realisticly I have never seen with my own eyes or heard with my own ears about anyone being born without having sex and producing a child. Or a man dying before everybodies eyes and coming back to life. Or a man walking on water. Why were these people during this time so privilaged to see the master works of God and not future generations.
