Even when translated properly, his prophecies were so vague as to be meaningless. Anyone can stretch them enough to find ones that apply, retroactively, to just about any event. Throw in the mistranslations, both intentional and not, and you get predictions that can never fail to be right, because they can mean whatever the reader wants them to.

But what's this about water color paintings?

Hi Stars,

When I was around 11/12 I used to have the Nostradamus video and used to watch it all the time, I was fascinated by his predictions. I was also very scared. When I got older I started to read parts of the bible that were even more upsetting, but then I knew Nostradamus was no where as close to the Bible's prophecies, and those are real. I do think we are in the very near end according to what I've been reading, especially with all that is going on around us right now. I think something major is going to happen very soon possibly before 2011, but I am not saying it;s the end at all, but it will affect the whole world, then things will start moving even faster.

Take Care!

The History Channel runs another one that is much more balanced. Have you ever actually read his stuff? You could take it to mean anything at all. There are no predictions there.

Look at it this way...if you had a book on September 10, 2001 that told you about 9-11 and you did nothing about it, you should be arrested. Why aren't all his believers in jail?"

Nostradamus was familiar with the Book of Revelation in the Bible....so much of what he said reflects this.....the bible has been accurate for 4000 years........his predictions may have also reflected a good insight and interpretation of the bible.....just like a smart weather forecaster can predict the weather pretty well...

all the bible prophesies have been fulfilled - like Israel has become a nation again - except the war of Gog and Magog..in Ezechiel 38...but the alliances of Muslim nations and Russia are in place....with the Iran threat of nuclear war....this world has about 5-10 years at the most.

do a google search and read about end time prophesies....you will see much of what Nostradamus said is similar to bible prophesy.

The History Channel, while a very informative channel, often presents just one side of the story to make it more sensational.
Id be watching stuff on there and think"wow", look it up and whaddya know....it had been discredited years ago!!!
And in the Bible it says that nobody knows the date or the time. Im assuming Nostradamus was included in that group.

Actually that is not the only prediction of 2012 end of the world...The Mayan calendar ends December 21st, 2012 A.D.
