Joshua 24:15(b)
"But as for me and my household, we shall serve Jehovah.”

I think I got it! Does this look right?

Those of you who say it was written by goat herders are more ignorant than those who wrote it. It was likely written by the most educated people of their time. It served the purpose of controlling the people of the time. And does a pretty good job of maintaining that control even until today. Say what you will about its truthfulness. It has been one of the most useful books throughout history for keeping control of the people.

What are the most important things in your life? What makes you feel great day to day?

For me, it's my sweetie, my family and my sweet little dog.

I feel free to think as I want and feel as good as I want without the oppression of organized religion.

So, most atheist appear to have major problems with these logic problems. For the first two, doesn't appear that many have a basic understanding of logic.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiOWSPfvw04U8d.fM1kjoTbsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071031114842AAW9IKI

Which highly confuses me since most of them have used their "logic" to come to the conclusion that God does not exist. So here is a much easier one:

You have 8 coins, one of which is fake. You know that the fake one is lighter than the real ones. You need to find the fake coin using a scale without using any extra weights. What is the minimum number of measurements you need to take? Explain your process of finding the fake coin.

If you don't want to answer, then at least admit that since your knowledge of logic isn't very high, that you could possibly have made a mistake in using your logic for you conclusion of God's existence.

I said something to offend someone. I wrote and apologized. She refuses to forgive me and has now blocked all mail so that I cannot apologize again.
What do I do?

I have tried to make things right, but my hands are now tied, so to speak. This person is now telling others how unkind and offensive I am.

Advice?
Thanks so much.

The Catholic-bashers are strutting their stuff on R&S today. Must be the holiday. My question is: how many non-haters want to join me in prayer for all the haters on the board today? For all the ones who have posted false witnesses about the Church, and for all the ones who will post false witness to this question?

Personally, I'm going to remember them all at mass tonight, that God's Holy Spirit would give them His light and peace. Hope y'all will join me.

Dear Friends,

Do you feel empty and far away from God? Do you yearn for greater fulfilmet and peace of mind? Do you feel guilt or things that you have done wrong?

Gods word the Bible teaches us that we are all sinners, all of us with no exceptions:

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

The reason for this is that we are all imperect decendents of Adam:

Romans 5:12
[ Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ ] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—

God created us to have a relationship with him, and what is missing from your life is this relationship with the creator of the universe.

God gave us free will, and our ancestor Adam, chose to believe the Devil rather than God. Now we to hae a choice.

God offers you his free gift of forgiveness, and all you have to do is take it!

Thhink of all the bad things you have done in your

I mean, even on here you see plenty of reply's that condem us for worshipping the devil etc. Really, we don't. There is no devil in the form of Wicca i practice. Practicers don't cast evil spells because it will come back to you. We don't try and screw up thier ideas about God, so why should they think they can screw up people's view of us and condenm us and beg us to convert. We don't do that to them, we leave them to believe what they believe, and they shuould d othe same to us. In other words, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!! Any other Wiccans/Pagans agree? Oh yeah, anyone know where i can find a coven for teens in Yorkshire?

So, what is so "evil" about innocent children dressing up in costumes and going from door to door collecting candy?
Why is it "wicked" for kids to have good, happy fun?

Do you think Satan is enjoying the shouts of happy children when they get their free candy, and play their harmless pranks?
Do you think he just loves it when people open their doors and shriek in pretend terror at the ghosts, witches and hobgoblins asking for treats?
Or do you think he cringes at all the joy "his" day is generating?

Hmmmm...

I'm giving away good, wholesome chocolate to the ghosts and goblins who come to my door this evening...
I understand that ghosts, hobgoblins, and various other miniature beggars just love peanut butter cups...

i am cathloic but it seems like a cult when wou look at it from an outsiders prospective... we have a weekly gathering in which we chant, listen to and believe without question the words of an ancient book, eat flesh and drink blood, worship a man hanging from a cross and believe we are condemned to eternal punshment if we dont tell our leader everything we have done wrong. i just think is weird. i was raised catholic but i have been seriously doubting it recently. anyone else like that or am i going to hell?

Can I get all the various perspectives (1) Religious/Philosophical (2) Biological/Medical/Ethical

Here's mine:

Sperm, eggs, zygotes are all human life, NOT human beings. Human life begins at conception but a "human being"- a fully formed person with a consciouness and autonomy only happens when:

1. The soul/consiousness/mind enters the body (religious/philosophical)

2. In order for something to possess that soul/consciousness/mind it must have a fully formed brain that can support the physical processes behind thought, personality, autonomy. It must also have a fully formed nervous system and body for that soul to interact with the surrounding world.

When a person cannot support brain function and basic life function, ethically/medically, they are not considered a human being but a corpse (whether kept on life support or not).

So both spiritually and ethically, a fetus becomes a human BEING when it can survive out of the womb (unplugged from the life support).
