yea you can find the name also on some very old grave sites in places like germany. I knew a sister who could speak very good german, she was from there, and she read the brochure the divine name the will endure forever, and the pictures in there alot of them in german, and she was able to interpret them for me and a few others present. many of these were memorial stones and grave stones.
Jesus by the way did use God's name, he quoted from many of the hebrew scriptures (aka old testament) and many of these had God's name. it is found in the original scrolls over 7000 times. the older versions of teh king james versions have Jehovah in four places, they have since been removed in the newer versions. some english versions have it in certain locations. these include the douway, jerusalem bible, new american bible foot note for ex 3:14 noted as yehway, the american translation, exodus 3:15 and 6:3.
over 38 times in ezekiel does it say the nations shall know I am Jehovah, can you imagine if it actually said God? remember back in those days there were many gods, many lords, and they had their names, so who can one believe ezekiel to be talking about here? you have orisis,, baal, molech, queen of the heavens can't remember her name, aphroditie, apollos, aka nimrod, I mean the list is endless.
So it can only be Jehovah or yehwah as some have stated. Jehovah has a familiarity worldwide then yehway, after all jesus is not jesus it is yeshua. no one says yeshua but jesus, and most people know who you are talking about.
God is not a name it is a title, like lord, or king or president, even pharoeh was a title not a name. trees, dog, horse cat, are titles of something in a certain category (animal or plant) but that hardly tells you which tree or animal you are talkiing about, are you talking yellow poplar? maple tree, shetland pony, german sheperd and if you speak about a shetland pony in a herd do you call it shetland pony over there? or do you say my ponies' name is daisy?
So why is it so unconceivable for people to believe God has a name? if you look at some king james versions, for example, you will find that the words lord, god, GOD, LORD, in some scriptures, well all cap refers to where the name originally was in the old scrolls. sometimes you can find this explanition in the introduction or the appendixs.
ONe scripture that would make no sense without the name is ps 110:1 "the utterance of my LORD to my lord thou shall sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet. Jesus alluded to himself as this lord. matt 22:41-45, he was the lord whom this LORD was talking to. So it is Jehovah said to jesus sit at my right hand until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet,
in fact stephen as he was being stoned said I see jesus sitting at God's right hand of power, this enraged the murderers so much they charged him all together to stone him faster. so yes I found those coins very interesting, and yes I would trust the watchtower and awake magezines over any other publication (except the bible) I trust it, after all I have been studying it for 25 years and no one has ever given a sound argument against it that stands to testing itself, and I see no reason to doubt it now, it has proven to me beyond a shawdow that i can trust what it says, after all the newspapers and new media have proven time and time again to deliberatly lie (called spin) to manipualate people for selfish ends, I see no manipulating in the magezines as they have not gotten rich off me that is for sure. but i sure have benefitted in more ways then anyone can know who never reads these publications.
I have looked at many religions before becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses, they came the closest, to the bible that I have seen anywhere. and I know no other religious group as a whole that emphasis door to door (like jesus and the apostles) and the kingdom (like jesus and the apostles) the mormons only do so for a few months and are done. And I have never seen a woman mormon go door to door,
The only group who uses God's name, others just use jesus, he never said he was God himself, the almighty, rather he said I am the son of God, if he was God you can bet your bottom and top dollar he would of made it perfectly clear without any need for twisting or manipulating words of scriptures that he was God himself. a son comes from a father and a son comes after a father, never is the son the father, the son can be like his father, this is a known fact in our human expereinces.
