What are the most important things in your life? What makes you feel great day to day?

For me, it's my sweetie, my family and my sweet little dog.

I feel free to think as I want and feel as good as I want without the oppression of organized religion.

Of course its the same as any other human: Family, friends, comfort and enjoyment, laughter....
I might even argue I enjoy life better than a majority of believers because I don't waste my time or my money on churches. I instead spend it on the things that make the above list achievable.

To quote Denis Leary, "Nobody's 'happy'! Happiness comes in small doses, folks. It's a cigarette or a chocolate chip cookie or a 5 second orgasm...that's IT. OK?!"

For me, it's an old Dr. Who episode, spontaneously sitting in with a band, a walk down Las Vegas Blvd., a fun and challenging math problem, and a lot more. Life has so many great things to offer. Death is the great abstinence!

I can't say I share the same popular hatred for "organized religion" (and what's that, anyway?). It can be a handy personal tool for some, so long as it's not pushed as a public cause.

Nothing.

If I start assuming for an instant that anything in this world is important to me, the idea might stick and I will fall into a trap of becoming ever more attached to this world again, undoing all the work of the past decade or so of my life.

I aspire to a state of total and utter disconnectedness and apathy.... and as far as I'm concerned, I'm nearly there. I'm always nearly there. It is what stops me not being further.

the fact that i can always count on my strenght. That is what makes me happy to be alife. I have had many people come in and out of my life but i have always stayed. It is a source of comfort and stability to me, no matter how silly it sounds. I know i will always have my back and i know i CAN always have my back

The same as you, but without a god.

I wasn't implying that you believed in a god.
