Prove to me there is no hell?

Why should I worship ANY Diety who isn't far superior in
(1) Mercy than I am?

If I REALLY stretch myself spiritually, I can and have found it in my heart to actually forgive someone as HORRID as Hitler.

If I, a mere mortal, is capable of such a thing and other humans have forgiven their rapists, people who killed their children in drunk driving accidents etc.

How can I serve ANY God who allows human beings to experience meaningless torment FORVER with no hope of resolution, learning, growth, forgiveness etc?

Why should I worship ANY Diety who isn't far superior in
(2) Justice/Ethics than I am?

If my daughter disobeyed me. I would not punish HER children for it. Neither would any court of law that abided by the HIGHEST ethical standards send a person to jail because their father was a murderer.

How can I worship a God with less just principles than my basic human ones?

Shouldn't an almighty Diety surpass every human limit of excellence?

It seems to me absurd to think that our morality is not innate within us but requires the threat of divine retribution... but I seem to be the minority... what are your thoughts?

you can't have it both ways. either you emulate him, or you don't. i see Christians trying...for instance....taking the sabbath as a day of rest (like god did when he created the world in 7 days).

if thats true...why are Christians against abortion? how many babies did God abort when he flooded Noah's world? You can't pick and chose which of God's personalities to emulate can you?

I'm writing a paper, and I just wanted to see people's ideas about this. I'm looking for Evangelical views in particular, but I encourage anyone to post what they believe. Please refrain from too much "fire and brimstone" stuff too. I'm well aware of those kinds of views. Let's focus on the positive here. Thank you!

I may not believe as you do, that there is no God but sam had some valuable points he made in this book. He is an atheist and perhaps again I might offend someone but it makes me go back and do some home work. I have learned I need to make sure I come correct when teaching certain things about God and christianity. My grammer, well I will work on it to. P.s. Christians I hope your rooted in christ before you read this one.

John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Matthew 11:28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Will you accept Jesus today and change your life?

Do you have big regrets from the past, are you weighed down with guilt, do these burdens keep you from god?

God has promised Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Will you accept this forgiveness today and begin a new life?

Ok, I can understand if the person pointed a gun to their head and pulled the trigger. But what about someone who took pills or slit their wrists? They have time between the act that causes their death and the death itself to ask to be forgiven. Is this a loophole God tossed in?
I guess maybe they should just jump off a building. They have a few seconds to say Please forgive me and mean it. Right?

What about a person who is murdered. They probably sinned sometime throughout the day and haven't yet asked to be forgiven. That means they are on a one way ticket to hell, do not pass purgatory, right?

Three men, a surgeon, an engineer, and a politician, were arguing about whose profession was the oldest.
"Mine is," said the doctor. "Remember that Eve was carved out of Adam's rib."
"Admitted," said the engineer, "but remember that the earth was created out of chaos in six days. That obviously was an engineering job."
"Yes," said the politician, "but who created the chaos?"
