In Matthew 3, John the Baptist seems so sure about Christ. What made him act otherwise in Matthew 11. ("Art thou he who is to come or shall we look for another?")

2 Nephi 2: 22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.
23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.
24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

And I know it's not in the bible, so if you can handle that and still give an answer, please do so.

Just curious about prayers to other entities than God almighty. Is he so busy that he can't answer or intercept all the prayers at once, so Mary and the Saints are busy on the receiving end and then put post it notes up for the almighty to see what he's missed?

According to Persian mythology, Mithras was born of a virgin given the title 'Mother of God'. The god remained celibate throughout his life, and valued self-control, renunciation and resistance to sensuality among his worshippers. Mithras represented a system of ethics in which brotherhood was encouraged in order to unify against the forces of evil. The worshippers of Mithras held strong beliefs in a celestial heaven and an infernal hell. They believed that the benevolent powers of the god would sympathize with their suffering and grant them the final justice of immortality and eternal salvation in the world to come. They looked forward to a final day of Judgment in which the dead would resurrect, and to a final conflict that would destroy the existing order of all things to bring about the triumph of light over darkness.

Purification through a ritualistic baptism was required of the faithful, who also took part in a ceremony in which they drank wine and ate bread to symbolize the bod

Okay, the creationist argument is that macro evolution can't happen but micro evolution can, yet macro evolution is just a built up of microevolutionary changes.

So what exactly stops the minor changes from building up to into bigger changes?

And please don't suggest that your god prevents speciation from happening...

This is one of the things that annoys me about the nonsensities (or dishonesty) of many atheists. Yes, it is true that Buddhism does not particularly concern itself with the question of "God". Neither do I. But to equate it with atheism is very misleading. Atheism tends to be anti-God. Not so with Buddhism. Atheists tend to be materialistic. Not so with Buddhists. A Buddhist himself put it best when he said:

"It began as a non-theistic religion, but it most certainly teaches the existence of a transcendant truth valid for all people at all times in all places and one that is not accessible empirically.

Atheism begins with the view that there is no transcendant truth available to man relative to human affairs because there is no transcendant being and that the only certain truth available to man is what he can reduce to mathematical symbol or reducible to countable matter."

Would he have to produce "that feeling" in you that tells you it's true? Could "that feeling" be produced by artificial means through brain stimulation, psychological counseling or hypnosis? What about an illusionist? Could he make you think he was Jesus?

I'm curious, because from my studies, your view seems to be more consistent with the view held by Jewish believers than it is with Christian believers. Do you all really worship the same G-d, or are they really different gods?

Christians that want to answer this question, please do so respectfully. The question is not meant for you, but I realize that you have your own opinions and may not be able to resist answering, I simply ask that you answer respectfully. Thanks in advance.

If Jesus is God, but he came to earth as human and died and went back to heaven and will return, does that mean he was reincarnated and can we expect the same?

My fiance and I have been together for over 2 years now, and have remained pure for all this time even while studying at the same college and living in the same dorm building. This has been extremely difficult, but we have upheld it to the point of suffering. Recently, however, we've been praying about it and it seems like it's time to get married. We are getting close or are already at that point where we can't physically resist being together a lot and wanting to be extremely close. We are both spiritually and emotionally united, and have been counseled that we are ready for marriage. My parents are not Christians and would never allow me to marry as long as I'm still in school. I have 2 more years to go in college. My fiance and I are hearing the call of God to be married, but with my parents it's simply impossible. Our bodies want to be united, but we don't want to commit fornication. What is there for us to do?? Please help. Thanks!

But have you ever seen light...kind of looking like a sunbeam...(e.g. you can almost see lint floating in the air in this beam of light!!) streaming out of someone's eyes?
