To answer your question, no....i am not getting annoyed at the atheists.
My friend, i have seen some atheists put in their thoughts to christian questions and they have not exactly been nice. However, this is not limited to atheists, for i see just as many christians doing the same thing.
I am neither Athiest nor am I Christian.....I believe that this is the internet, and by posting on here you are opening yourself up to all. It is my personal belief, that what is needed here is a bit of tolerance.
Tolerance
The most lovable quality any human being can possess is tolerance. …. It is the vision that enables one to see things from another’s viewpoint…. It is the generosity that concedes to others the right to their own opinions and their own peculiarities….. It is the bigness that enables us to let people be happy in their own way instead of our way.

Quit taking things so personally. Nobody can push your buttons if you dont have them out there to start with.
Blessings to all

What exactly is an "athiest"? I'm heard of atheists, but I don't think I've ever met an "athiest". You know, there is a spell check on Yahoo Answers for a reason.
So you claim that Christians do not 'rip on' atheists for our beliefs? Stick around the Religion & Spirituality Section long enough and you will see that is far from true. Actually, take a look at reality long enough and you will see that Chrisitans constantly criticize others (not just atheists) for not agreeing with their beliefs.

Y/A is an open forum and you can title your question whatever you like but anyone can answer it. as far as aheists go im one but i'm not going to sit there and disrespect a person of another faith. If you want answers from only people of your religion ask at your church not on an open forum so you can't really complain. Why do we have to bother you no no no you sit there and tell us we're all going to hell and quite frankly we dont wannahear it because we don't care so stop your ranting and steyotping atheists because thats why so many of them have low tolerance to self-righteous christians.

So what you are saying is that when your delusion is starting to unravel you only want people to respond to rebuild your delusion and do not want anyone to point out that, in the real world, the Emperor has no clothes.
Go hang out on a moderated Christian forum where all dissent, all input from the real world, is edited out.
Then you can listen to all your fellow believers telling you how right you are.
Meanwhile I will continue to live in the real world and wait for people like you to join me.

No, I'm getting annoyed with the Christians in Yahoo answers who only want to hear confirmation of what they've already decided is the answer. Not quite the point of this site.
Why don't you go to a Christian forum site? You probably won't find too many atheists there.
As to why atheists are doing what they are doing: they're only trying to help you.
Hope this helps you.

Well from the crude comments on this question I can understand. Yes I get annoyed, but I try to take the higher ground and just look past the word and the person speaking the words.
A smart person online said this,
"Words are not mean, people are mean. Intentions are mean.", Haterproof.
If you come here to seek help then, yes you should get a helpful answer. Hopefully a helpful answer from a christian that uses religion and a helpful answer from an atheist that uses another approach. To take your question as an opportunity to criticize you based on your religion is merely avoidance.

No ,I do not have problems with people speaking their mind. I just have a problem with people trying to force their opinions and beliefs on other people.
99% of wars on this planet are caused by people who do not agree with other people's beliefs.
Live and let live. Let people believe what they want to believe ,why should you care. Just take care of yourself and do not force your opinions on other people just because you believe in something else.
By the way I am not an atheist but it does not matter, religion should be a personal thing between you and your God.
Many thousands perhaps millions of lives have been lost because of people trying to force religion down someone's throat.
For example:
The current Middle East situation and our involvement in it.

muwah hahahahahaha!
You have discovered our evil plot to rule the world!!!!
Seriously...you need to get a grip on reality. You actually believe that your fellow believers do not rip on Atheists? Have you even read what you typed?
"it almost looks like satan is trying to speak through them (atheists)."
"we do not rip on what you believe even tho we know its wrong"
1.) We do not believe in god...what makes you think we believe in satan?
2.)Did you just call our "beliefs" wrong???? And yet you get testy when someone else challenges your beliefs. Pot...meet kettle.

I'll grant you, there are some atheists out there who are a little too fanatic about their beliefs (or lack thereof, however you want to describe it), however atheists are just as free to type up their feelings on issues as you or anyone else of another religion.
You are completely wrong about the religious people not disrespecting atheists though.
I respect other peoples faiths, and I expect my beliefs to be respected as well, and from the religious people out there, I do not receive that respect.
I've had people ask me if I would be willing to listen to their beliefs, I politely agree and then they become shocked when I ask if they will listen to mine.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Whilst I realise that many of the atheists on here simply want to ridicule or deride Christianity Christians need to be able to give an answer for what we believe so it's good to face up to their questions and even their ridicule.
If Christians are able to give sensible well thought out answers to questions it may just help someone who is genuinely seeking. Those who ridicule God will answer to Him in good time.
