Would he have to produce "that feeling" in you that tells you it's true? Could "that feeling" be produced by artificial means through brain stimulation, psychological counseling or hypnosis? What about an illusionist? Could he make you think he was Jesus?

We shouldn't trust our feelings. Because there are such a thing as familiar spirits in the world. But I received the anointing, the Spirit of Truth when I was prayed for by the laying on of hands. I was filled witht he Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues. And it was a strong feeling of love & assurance.

So? When I have a dream or a vision of Jesus or a word, I ask for confirmation from the Spirit of Truth to my spirit. And I can trust this Spirit as I can claim 1Jn2:27. For God keeps His promises.

And I have had experiences with feelings like tingling, etc. because I had practiced self hypnosis & smelled too much of the paint thinner fumes before. But that was part of the problem that led me into a dream domain where I saw visions, heard voices & had physical reactions in my body. I went through a year of this without having a sound sleep. When I was finally healed of this. Was when the Pastor at the River of Life Fellowship prayed for me & the Holy Spirit filled me overflowing & then when I was home led me to toss a book out, then to a book that had the verse in it that the anointing I received was the Spirit of Truth who leads me in Gods Truth. The book I tossed was the Mormon book (because their spirituality is familiar spirits). But, I always trust the anointing I recieved that day in 1992 (I think). I have been healed because I trust this annointing.

When I have doubted God, this anointing brought to mind, "Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.". So, I repent for doubting Gods love for me & that God Is who God says He Is.

We will know it is Jesus by one of two things so this is how you could prove to me you were Jesus.
1) Have the dead rise to meet you in the air and then have all Christians rise to meet you in the air (without using any flying devices, we just rise to meet you while you are in the air)
2) Come down from the sky riding on a white horse with an army of angels and believers behind you, open your mouth to speak the words of truth found in the Bible and, just by speaking that truth, slay all of the nonbelievers that have come to wage war against you. (no weapons or equipment involved)

You do either of those things, and I will believe that you are Jesus Christ.

Feelings can deceive. To tell what is who real or fake, the Holy Bible is our defence! When Jesus comes again it won't be secret and He won't come down on to the Earth. "Every eye will see him" when He comes back.

I think it is fun to read so many theories on such things.

I don't know that anyone has THE answer to that question. I believe the answer only comes from within each individual, and is connected to their own personal belief or knowledge or experience of that belief.

He has to return the way the Bible says He will. "Like lighting that goes from East to West....Every eye will see Him...He will return from the clouds on a white stallion with millions of His saints and angels."
Other than that, the Christian can't be fooled.

Nothing could convince me.
His second coming does not mean he will return to walk on earth.

Standing on his head jumping rope with each end of the rope through the nail holes would be convincing enough for me.

Jesus said "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand"

So no, no one would be able to convince me :)
