The greatest gift we have received from God is His Son Jesus Christ. He sent His son down to earth in a total human body, a body that felt things, a body that was as fragile as ours. Jesus lived for 33yrs as a human, knowing what pain is like, betrayal, temptation and then He was sacrificed and died, and rose again. God did this so people did not have to live under the Law, concerning burnt offerings, food offerings etc. That became totally irrelevant the day Christ died and then rose. Jesus became a bridge between us and God, a direct link. So that if we believe in Jesus we will have automatic eternal life.
What other greatest gift could there be, apart from our own life.?

The greatest gift we can ever recieve or give is that of forgiveness. The gift of grace, to recieve something that you have not earned and do not deserve as well as mercy, that you do not get what you do deserve is the gift from God that is freely given and offered to all mankind. It is because God first loved us and reached out and made Himself available to us that we are able to recipricate His perfect love in our own life, to those in the world around us and even in learning how to love God for who He is and not just because of what he does for us.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
