What if I said let's worship the devil what would you say and why? And if you believe there is a Devil why wouldn't you believe there is a God?

according to many believers, we have purpose because god gave us purpose. but if god came before everything and everyone, and hence nobody to give him purpose, does that mean god does not have a reason for his existence? is god's existence pointless? is that why he acts in the self-destructive manner that he does?

There's this German artist guy who thinks that he is god's gift to women... I can say with certainty however, that he in fact made a deal with Satan. I need this spell to save the women who are about to fall into his trap.

This was sent to me as part of an email from my cousin. It made me chuckle!

Grandma's Letter

Grandma's letter: She is eighty-eight years old and still
drives her own car.

She writes: Dear Grand-daughter, The other day I went up to our
local Christian bookstore and saw a "Honk if you love Jesus"
bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because
I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a
thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on
my bumper.

Boy, am I glad I did, what an uplifting experience that
followed . I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection,
just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I
didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing
someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never
have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus!

While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like
crazy , and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, "For the
love of God! Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO! What an exuberant
cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just
leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those
loving people.

I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There
must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him
yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving
in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I
asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant.
He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.
Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the
window and gave him the good luck sign right back.

My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this
religious experience!! A couple of the people were so caught up
in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and
started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what
church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had
changed . So, I waved at all my brothers and sisters grinning, and
drove on through the intersection.

I noticed that I was the only car that got through the
intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad
that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So I
slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the
Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away.

Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!!

Will write again soon.

Love,
Grandma

I believe that there is a creator for how is it possible for the universe to have existed. I want to believe that he/she is a mere observer and that everything that happens in the world is brought about by the interactions of all living things and the forces of nature. That is why no help comes if one prays during a tight situation.

Some say color of God is green, because it's predominant color of nature...

Some others say it's blue, because it's color of water and so it's color of life...

Some say it's red, because it's color of heat and excitement...

Some others say it's white, because white is color of clarification and so it's that color...

Some will say it's black, because he created everything saddening and compulsory....

Some say it's gray, because it's never possible for us to distinguish between good and bad and all are relative...

But some will say it's non of them, but divine color is Love's color, everything empty of hypocrisy and impurity...

What I mean is, I was raised Christian. My mom was raised Christian. 10 generations back surely were Christians. The next generation is taught by parents or guardians. I am not going to say God isn't real, but I am not an active Christian.
Surely I (and my mother and grandmother) would be practicing Hindus (and would believe in it) if that's what we were taught.
I ask my mom all the time this question adn she says that she would "know" the right religion to follow. I don't believe that at all. It would be the right one if she was raised to believe it was the right one.

...get those 65 million (and older) year old bones? Why were they the bones of such giant creatures, instead of those of more modest, "normal" sized animals? How did Satan encase the bones in solid rock, that also happened to be 65 million years old? Did Satan also "plant" all the ancient rock that covers the planet? Fundies, please help.

I'm an atheist seems bent on attacking Christians right now. I am not sure why he seems to think one cannot be a scientist and a Christian at the same time? I happen to be both. I have a bachelors and master degree in biological sciences. I am working on my PhD. You can be both. My studies in science have not weakened my belief in God at all. They have in fact strengthened it. Surely I am not the only one? Any other Christian who are scientists on here?

Although not as stark as Calvinism and Armenian might be because Arminian is, of course, closer to Orthodoxy and Catholicism, there are probably many differences between Arminians and Armenians.

My friend and I were discussing about Sufism and how blaming other must be avoided. While my friend was driving, he broke a Stop sign. Instead of taking responsibility, he started complaining how it was awkward place to have a Stop sign which made me think he blamed the placement of Stop sign rather then taking the ownership that we were taking while driving that actually did it for us.
So I turned to him and said “Are you thinking, what I am thinking?” and he looks at me with a grin and says “Thank God, no Cops”

I freakin gave up.

Why or why not?? I am very curious as to others views on this....from a religious standpoint.....
