I have seen many quesions and comments on this site refering to homosexual marriage, etc. Now, I have a question: how many of you believe it to be wrong to date or even marry someone of a different race than you?? Why or why not?? I am very curious as to others views on this....from a religious standpoint.....

With all the problems facing mankind , I can't believe some people are still concerned with homosexual or interracial marriages. It's like being on the Titanic and worrying about a leaky faucet. I think we should live and let live.

There is NOTHING wrong with dating or marrying someone (of the opposite sex) who is of a different race or nationality.
The only thing to be aware of is possible cultural differences that can affect the relationship greatly sooner or later!
It is usually best to marry someone who is very similar
in background, but not always :0)
I am a Christian.
The Bible says absolutely nothing about
ppl marrying others of a different race/nationality.
Nothing wrong with it.
The Israelites were an exception - they were encouraged,
especially at the begining, to marry within their nationality but this was more for the purpose of keeping their faith in God and not being swayed by different beliefs in false gods that
their mates may worship (if from a different nationality/
culture).
Marrying those of a different race will actually help the
gene pool! I believe we are all related!

Gay Marriage - I don't care.
Interracial Marriages - I don't care.
I am a Bisexual Christian telling all to believe in Christ if you feel Him drawing you. I find these types of questions a waste of time - Gay people may be saved Gay people, interracial married people may be saved. The important things are about the Gospel. But only those who feel the desire which comes from God.

I am an opinionated person, as you requested, but I am not a religious one.
I think it is perfectly fine to let races date, marry, etc with each other. Every mix makes the new product stronger. One day, (should we survive) Earthlings will not be divided by races. We will all become one tanned race.

There is nothing in the bible that says anything about interracial marriage.
Abraham was married to Keturah an Ethiopian, granted both of them were black, but his wife was of a darker hue than he was. And of a different culture.
Moses wife was black as was he, but they were from different cultures.
Judah the progenitor of Christ's tribe was married to a black woman.
Joseph's wife was black, she was an Egyptian.

The Bible -- at least the modern translation of The Bible -- has specific verses that speak against homosexuality. That's where the controversy comes in.
The Bible never speaks against inter-racial marriage. Moses even married an Ethiopian woman in the book of Numbers. It is the spirit which is important, not the color of the packaging, so to speak.

I'm Muslim and I see it as something beautiful if a person marries outside their race. In Islam there is nothing wrong with it.
[Quran 49:13] People, We have created you all male and female and have made you nations and tribes so that you would recognize each other. The most honorable among you in the sight of God is the most pious of you. God is All-knowing and All-aware.

I am a Christian, and I don't see anything wrong with it. Technically, we're all just distant cousins. Black people are descendants of Cush, who is a son of Ham, and white (european) people are descendants of Gomer, who was a son of Japheth. Ham and Japheth were brothers. So we're all in the family!
