I am an Adventist, this i am proud of as much as being called a child of God. I love and respect other christains even if I respectfully disagree with you. Is there some afriad to tell someone out of fear being ridiculed or reviled ? The answers I read and responded to are sometimes beautifull to hear.

You teach that the Devil's big lie that even "Christendom" still teaches is that "you will not die", and that this lie takes the form of the immortality of the human soul and that the teaching of going to either heaven or hell stems from those two things.

SO, my question is:
Does the teaching that 144,000 are going to heaven ALSO stems from that same teaching. And if you say no, then why does "Christendom's" teaching of more than 144,000 going to heaven stem from and and yours does not? If you say that the "soul" of the 144,000 doesn't go to heaven, then can we not also say that "Christendom's" teaching that more than 144,000 going to heaven can make the same point?

Living in an area where most people are Christian, I find myself keeping my mouth shut a lot of times when I'd much rather say exactly what I think. (I am the type of person that always says what I think, unless I think it is disrespectful or hurtful).

When it comes to my fiance and my future in-laws especially, I find that it is most often ME that has to bite my tongue about my beliefs, rather than THEM.

Why is it perfectly okay for them ramble on forever about God and the devil, yet they can't handle even one sentence about atheism from me?

I ask because within the LDS church VT stands for Visiting Teacher, or Visiting Teaching, which I seriously doubt is what it means here. Just curious.

what would happen?

Would it cleanse the place of sin and evil?

Has anyone ever done this by pouring water in a heavily sinful place like a bar, house of ill repute, or a home, and what happened?

I have a contact whose Yahoo! keeps getting hacked. The first time, he was seeing questions and answers posted that he didn't do, and the hacker changed his password. On his second account, they deleted all of his questions and answers. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I am surrounded by people who believe that the only threat to them is an Islamic terrorist. They spread that e-mail around, called "History Lesson", that implies that ALL terrorist attacks are done by that religion.

I know this can't be true. Just thinking about it, I can't think that the IRA, Timothy McVeigh, PETA, and those people who blow up abortion clinics are Muslim. Does anyone know where I can gather a list of non-Muslim terrorist attacks? If not, can you tell me ones you know so I can start making my own list?

I'm trying to fight the group-mentality I'm surrounded by and start having people look for solutions, instead of just hiding under their hatred.

To be excommunicated?

Questions:

1. What horrific act would I have to commit?

2. What verses of the Bible deal with excommunication?

3. Do only Catholics excommunicate? I'm not a Catholic :-(

4. Once I have been excommunicated, what will happen to me?

5. Will I go to hell if I have been excommunicated?

Thanks!

I don't believe in God(s) yet I can't prove there's none. Religions makes me mad lol cause I rather think for myself. I'm not sure if evolution, creationism or any other of these theories applies to our world.
I think we know simply nothing. Need this info for my profile.

So, ummmm, what am I?

Thanks.
