No, God isn't an angel, He's the CREATOR. He created mankind and they make their own choices. Now if you take a good look at the world's history so far, you'll see just exactly what choices they/we made and how screwed we are without HIM. Michael the Archangel is the angel who is send by God to deliver messages. He is the main angel, the head of the angels, so to speak. pharoah wasn't the devil but he was, just like everyone even in today's world, deceived and used by the devil for his evil plan...which is to destroy people and seperate them from GOD.

God is not an angel. He is our Creator and lifegiver. He does not sin. "The Rock, perfect is his activity, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice;
Righteous and upright is he."
Michael is the Archangel.
The prefix “arch,” meaning “chief” or “principal,” implies that there is only one archangel, the chief angel; in the Scriptures, “archangel” is never found in the plural. First Thessalonians 4:16, in speaking of the preeminence of the archangel and the authority of his office, does so in reference to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” It is, therefore, not without significance that the only name directly associated with the word “archangel” is Michael. Jude 9

its very interesting to see this question because I was thinking about it just this morning. I don't know if God is who fell but I wonder if Lucifer wasn't expelled because he was the "light-bearer" or "morning star" which is what Lucifer means. It is interesting because his are considered the powers of darkness, however it is the biblical God who's religion strives to keep the world in the dark and that God who unleashed plagues on the land and has his cronies murdering and pillaging in His name.
Why was Lucifer cast out? Because he gave knowledge to humans, the knowledge of good and evil. God couldn't have that so out he goes...cast as the evil in the scenario but that isn't consistant with the evidence of God's own evil outlined in the bible.

I haven't given it much thought, but its possible given that the Bible's human authors often used allegory to explain current events. It would not suproise me.
And to a previous responder: If God doesn't sin, then explain why he encouraged slavery. Or am I to believe that slavery is not a sin. If God is the author of the Bible then he clearly admits he sponsored genocide, terror and slavery. Remember, God is all knowing and his wisdom is infinite. If he knew slavery was wrong, why did he promote it? I know, I know.....its called being in a pickle.

No. God is perfect and without sin. I don't know about the archangel stuff, but it's probably bunk too.
