You teach that the Devil's big lie that even "Christendom" still teaches is that "you will not die", and that this lie takes the form of the immortality of the human soul and that the teaching of going to either heaven or hell stems from those two things.
SO, my question is:
Does the teaching that 144,000 are going to heaven ALSO stems from that same teaching. And if you say no, then why does "Christendom's" teaching of more than 144,000 going to heaven stem from and and yours does not? If you say that the "soul" of the 144,000 doesn't go to heaven, then can we not also say that "Christendom's" teaching that more than 144,000 going to heaven can make the same point?

SO, if i understand the "soul" doesn't live on beyond dead and go any where, but the persons of the 144,000 that go to heaven are resurrected into heaven. SO, can't it be said that IF more than 144,000 are going to heaven, then they are RESURRECTED into heaven?

Moises: I did not ask for God's opinion, I asked for Jehovah's Witnesses' opinion. I can ask God Himself when I pray. He is more than able to present to me His opinion.

This ought to be good!!!!
Since none of the current JW"s answered directly your question, I will put one in without the "orgasm" that the answerer below me mentioned (by the way that was one of the rudest comments that has been made about me in a long time).
This is infact one of the oxymorons that I contended with while still in the organization.
To me, what was taught (and i say was as we all know about the "new light" since I left) was in effect the same as the rapture teaching of other denominations. The rapture basically means that Christ calls home all at once those who make up His church. Now, what the JW taught was that any of the anointed (those of the 144K) still alive when Christ returned would be taken (use rapture as this to me is just mere semantics) to heaven in the twinkling of an eye.
Rapture and taken to heaven in the twinkling of an eye would be the same thing. Why get caught up in word games. Of course humans HAVE to die to go to heaven, so they of course would be resurrected in order to go to heaven.
The only difference I can see between the 2 teachings is the numbers. But I will leave that for another discussion.
JW's teach that the whole "everyone goes to heaven or hell" was just part of the lie that Satan told to Eve that "you will not die". So if they want to teach that some humans ARE going to heaven then that too must be part of that lie. They cannot have it both ways. Either both are part of the lie or neither are. So yes, both teachings make the same point. Soul or spirit, that person that dies will go to heaven.

The answer is more simple than it seems.
The wages sin pays is death, so we ALL die. (Romans 6:23)
We do not have a soul; we ARE a soul. (Genesis 2:7)
It is this soul that dies. (Ezekiel 18:4 & 18:20)
Therefore, we are completely dead. (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalm 146:4)
Those who merit Jehovah's adverse judgment will remain dead forever. (Psalm 37:38)
The rest, in order to live, have to be brought back to life. This is true of those who will live on the earth as well as of the 144K who attain to life in heaven. (John 11:25)
Based upon the Hebrew & Greek words for soul, souls are not resurrected to life in the heavens; the ones that have died who will be raised to life in heaven are raised up as spirit persons. (1 Corinthians 15:44)
Those who will live on the earth have their souls resurrected back to life on the earth. Those who do not attain a resurrection have their souls thrown into Gehenna, the lake of fire, which symbolizes eternal destruction with no hope of a resurrection. (Matthew 10:28)
Thus from this we see that the soul is indeed mortal; that it can and in fact does die.

No.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not pretend that a soul can exist separately from a body. Those who are resurrected to heaven receive spirit bodies, while those resurrected to earth receive healthy human bodies.
Christendom generally teaches that EVERY soul is immortal, either enjoying bliss in heaven or damnation in hell. The bible does not teach that, so Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe it. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe the bible to teach that an anointed person who proves unfaithful suffers forever in fiery torture, but the bible teaches that such a sinner merely ceases to exist.
So what does the bible teach about "the soul"?
A "soul" is a life, with no implication regarding some immortal otherwordly entity. Each deceased life is in Jehovah God's remembrance (with the potential for future resurrection), but the dead do not exist anywhere but memories until and unless the life is resurrected.
(Ezekiel 18:4) The soul that is sinning - it itself will die.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Genesis 2:17) But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”
(Genesis 17:14) And an uncircumcised male who will not get the flesh of his foreskin circumcised, even that soul must be cut off from his people. He has broken my covenant.”
(Judges 16:30) And Samson proceeded to say: “Let my soul die with the Philistines.” Then he bent himself with power, and the house went falling upon the axis lords and upon all the people that were in it, so that the dead that he put to death in his own death came to be more than those he had put to death during his lifetime.
(Job 33:22) And his soul draws near to the pit, And his life to those inflicting death.
(Psalm 78:50) He did not hold back their soul from death itself; And their life he handed over even to the pestilence.
(Isaiah 53:12) he poured out his soul to the very death
(Acts 3:23) Indeed, any soul that does not listen to that Prophet will be completely destroyed from among the people.’
(Revelation 16:3) And the second one poured out his bowl into the sea. And it became blood as of a dead man, and every living soul died, yes, the things in the sea.

Well both Jehovah´s Witnesses used at least 20 times the bible the rest of the people even opened the book, if you want the opinion of the people then they are wrong but if you want God´s opinion then listen to both of them.

Allow me to quote from the NWT rendering of Revelation 6:9-11:
'And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar [in heaven] the souls of those slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the witness work that they used ot have. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: 'Until when, Sovereign Lord holy and true, are you refraining from judging and avenging our blood upon those who dwell on the earth?' And a white robe was given to each of them and they were told to rest a little while longer, until the number was filled also of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they also had been.'
Now, given Watchtower Society propensity for taking one half of a sentence in Revelation as symbolic and the other half as literal, I expect JWs to say it means the souls are symbolic of witnesses who are dead in the grave and they only speak symbolically, but their witness work was literal, not symbolic!
Well, I'm sticking with Revelation and the fact that deceased Christians' souls are in heaven, in communication with God, waiting for the Day of Judgment when their deaths will be avenged and their bodies in the grave will be resurrected in glorified form, fit for heaven, to reunite with their souls. Woops... sorry, I'm not a JW.
