wine----only Satan is the author of confusion---if he meant grapejuice he would have said grapejuice---he said wine.

What the people were amazed that they saved the best grape juice for the last?---that doesn't make any sense.

Jesus turned the water into wine!

John 2: 7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

If you will notice that the master of the banquet "implies" that once the guests are inebriated enough that they will not notice a "change" in the quality of wine, they (the servers) will usually bring out the cheaper kind of wine as the evening wears on, thus saving "face" and money.

By the text, it would be wine. The people of that day were not as hung up as modern people over drinking alcohol. There is no way in the narrative that grape juice would have been refered to "as the best saved for last." Also, the narrative mentioned that often the best wine is served first, and the worst wine later that is because once you've drank for awhile you typically can't tell.

Wine without a doubt.

Since Jesus never literally turned water into wine ( as the story is just an allegorical parable) it quite possibly could have been Welches grape juice or any beverage of your choice for that matter. Whether it was wine or Gatorade the moral of the story remains the same~

Definately wine. According to Thayers lexicon the Hebrew word is translated literally new wine or wine. But it also refers to it as a love-potion. Never heard anyone refer to grapejuice as a love potion. Furthermore in John 2:10 And saith unto him , Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk , then that which is worse: [but] thou hast kept the good wine until now. If the man was sober enough to taste that it was better quality wine than he had been drinking he probably would have noticed if it was non-alcoholic.

Yes, Jesus turned water into wine, but wine is something you need to be careful with you should not become drunk off of, or addicted to wine, but Timothy was told to drink a little wine for his stomach. Take time to look up the scripture references. There are many more on wine, some for, some against. Most against are not against wine forsay, but getting drunk and addicted.

It was at the wedding, and the wine was running out, so Jesus turned the water into wine...not grape juice...

wine.

Though, technically, they would never have had grape juice as It was chemically impossible to make grape juice until man found the way to stop the bacterial process.

But... the bible says wine.

And if you are referring to the grape juice served at many churches today it's because many people are alcoholics and serving them wine would be sinful.

I don't know. The bible says it was wine, but every church I've ever been to used grape juice. The world may never know.
