I ask because within the LDS church VT stands for Visiting Teacher, or Visiting Teaching, which I seriously doubt is what it means here. Just curious.

...I'm pretty sure it doesn't stand for Vermont either.

It stand for "Vile Temptress".
"Vile Temptress" was an insult directed at a few female regulars on R&S by a crazy fundamentalist who likes to post abusive questions and answers. (You'll know him if you see him because he uses the word "hypocrite" about a hundred times in every question and answer. He's also known to post hysterical abusive questions insulting people by name when angered. Sometimes he sends abusive e-mails.) A bunch of us other ladies on here started calling ourselves "Vile Temptresses" in support of the ladies he was abusing, and to show him what a joke we thought he was. I officially added "VT" to my avatar when he posted a question insulting me by name. He also recently told me to go "kill my unborn children".

Never thought about it. My only reference for VT is the same as yours. Vile temptress sound pretty perverted. Are we too sheltered from the world - I hope so!

Vile Temptress

It basically means that they are self-proclaimed hot chicks.

So, "Tonya VT" would basically mean "Tonya the self-proclaimed hot chick", although you could make it mean "Tonya Visiting Teacher" if you wanted to.

Farbeit from me just exactly what the point is of pretending to be hot (whether you are or aren't) on a forum where all that anyone will ever see is your avatar.

But, to each her own.

I believe it stands for "Vile Temptress".

Someone got all nutso and refered to a bunch of the women on R&S that way and they seem to have embrassed the term.
