I am not sure if any particular group is using it, but like the term "born again," it is usually used by sincere followers because the title Christian has come to mean quite a different people than that which it originally denoted (Acts 11:26; cf. Acts cp. 2-5).
But no one can claim to perfectly follow Him who did no sin, and then gave Himself for our sins, and rose again (1Pet. 2:24; 3:18), but those who are fully consecrated to Him overall will "follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth (Rev 14:4). To God be the glory.

Some groups use it. The term Christian was first used in Antioch. The name came from non-believers referring to the followers of Christ. Perhaps they don't want to use the term because it came from non-believers. In this sense, Christ Himself is not a Christian.

I am a believer.
I don't consider myself a Christian any more. Because the term has no meaning in today's society. Most you people observe pagan customs like Christmas, Easter and Halloween, of which I will have no part of.
Most of you in this forum, are also white racists, eventhough you do not admit it. So if you people are Christians, then I have to be something else. That is why I do not identify myself as being Christian any longer.

There were many that followed Him in the Bible but their were only a few that were Christians. Most of the ones that followed Him did it out of selfishness, they only followed Him for what they could get in material goods like food etc. If you want to be a Christian you must place your faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour and Trust Him as such.

I am a follower of Christ. Christians apparently believe in purgatory and two GODs.

Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles. I am one of the latter. I suppose the argument could be made that we gentiles are just Christians dressed up in reading Hebrew Bibles. That cannot be said for the Jews who believe that Yeshua is Ha'Mashiach.

I used to be reluctant to call myself a Christian because it is sometimes more frequently associated with the Christian Right political movement than it is the life of Christ and the lives of those who strive to be like him.
