The premise here presupposes a god to exist, I do not, but this is a rhetorical device used here only for the sake of arguement.

...talk about how all the other religions are wrong and stupid (except Scientology), isn't it showing little respect towards other theists? Isn't it something that needs to be re-evaluated again on Yahoo!Answers?

*Cough*..disrespectful. *cough*

So yeah, talking about how religions are crap (except Scientology) is disrespectful, isn't it?

Maybe THAT'S why you get thumbs down? Generalizing that all those thumbs downs are from Christians who disagree with your beliefs, kind of irrational, isn't it?

BUT..critizing and pointing out things that make a religion hard to believe, that is certainly okay, right?

(Excuse my awful wording :P)

This is a serious question in no way meant to offend. I have read several places that say that Catholics believe that Jesus is re-sacrificed every time we take communion. I am just wondering if this is true. If it is not true would you mid telling me exactly what communion means to you. When you answer if you are Catholic could you please say so.

I've been told that if God really wanted me to be in a boy-girl relationship, I would eventually do so on his timing. I shouldn't "chase after" the guy I like or make excuses like “Oh, since I see him so much at this one thing, that must mean that God is telling me to get closer to him”. How do I know it's the right "timing" then if I'm not supposed to try?

So. I'm very deeply interested in becoming Wiccan. All my life I've pretty much thought that there must be some form of higher power, and I do very much so believe in reincarnation.

But, I was just wondering, can I be a Wiccan but still believe in evolution? I have always believed evolution but thought that a higher power was the cause of it (The Great Goddess).

And one last thing: You believe people can be reincarnated as other animals, and other animals as people, correct? Also, I need to know if you believe that all living animals have souls.

Blessed Be

Luke 8:10

"The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you (disciples), but to others I speak in parables, so that though seing , they may not see; though hearing they may not understand"

Jesus spoke in parables because He knew His people couldn't understand the Truth. He spoke to them as if they were children in the beginning of learning. Those people were not prepared neither ready for the Truth.

What makes you think you are?

We would still have "Proof" that at least a mountain decided, for whatever reason, to jump into the sea.

Was Jesus maybe worried about causing a Tsunami?

In the NSW Crimes Act 1900 it is with some interest that I read...

"No person shall be liable to prosecution in respect of any publication by him or her orally, or otherwise, of words or matter charged as blasphemous, where the same is by way of argument, or statement, and not for the purpose of scoffing or reviling, nor of violating public decency, nor in any manner tending to a breach of the peace."

This might sound really random, but I used to have a christian children's cassette tape that I would really like to try and buy again---the only problem is that i don't remember the name of the cassette or company.

The cassette tape is blue and the tape consists of what appears to be a musical. It has kids to were not friends at school, that are tasked to go to a park and help clean it up. During their day there, they all become friends and clean the park up.

Some songs were the beatitudes (Blessed are), Jesus loves the little children, and a song about Chadrak, Michak, and Abendigo (SP?). Please help!! Thanks!

I see bibles all over the place, but never a Quran. You would think the most widely read book in the entire Middle East would have at least a small circulation here but I never see them.

I mean, nuclear physics, or astronomy, geology, chemistry…if one studies and becomes proficient in all these branches of science, then one will discover that they too contradict the bibles explanation for the origins of reality. The thing is, these subjects are a little more advanced and therefore, beyond the reach of most Christians who prefer studying a moldy old book of nonsense stories than the latest advances in understanding our universe. But evolution; living organisms change over time – the more time has passed, the more changes have occurred. Simple, hey? And yet understanding it and accepting it as the truth immediately proves the very first sentence of the bible false.

Do you accept people who are Atheists?
Do you accept people who are Agnostic?
Do you accept people who are Pagans?

Do you think someone's beliefs indicate how moral a person is? Should it, or should it not play a role in determining a person? Should sterotypes and generalizations be frowned upon?

If you didn't know it--holiday is just another word for "holy day"---you can look up the root words and find this to be true. Hallow means to make holy.

If you are a Christian--why do you think it is OKAY to celebrate such a disgusting practice of dressing up in evil costumes and engaging in a pagan druid festival?

I do not want to hear all the excuses of ..."well, we dress up as angels" and "it's all in fun." Do you think it is "fun" to celebrate evil? I just want to know what is wrong with all the Christians who celebrate 'hollow'een--are just seared in your conscience or just a hypocrite? Do you honestly believe you are pleasing God by celebrating satan's holy day and telling your children it is just all fun?

Numbers 32:23, "But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out."

Do you really believe Jesus is blessing your practice of halloween?
