Um, how is Halloween a Christian holiday, exactly? It's roots are pagan, are they not? Most Christians I know hate Halloween. I tell them they must hate kids too, 'cause it's just an excuse for the little ones to dress up and get candy and pretend to be all scary. I doubt a four year old in a Dora costume is doing anything satanic....

Who suggested all fundamentalist Christians have been nationalists? examine the definition from the hyperlink below and tell me the place it even mentions nationalism. i actually waver between seeing conflict as a potential of ultimate motel to thinking no count if this is ever ideal. BTW, Jesus did tension the money changers out of the temple, so your assertion that He by no potential raised a fist to all and sundry isn't entirely appropriate.

Well, secularists are declaring war on Christmas and Easter.
So, why shouldn't we declare war on Halloween? It's all about evil, mystery, bats, skeltons, witches, and begging for candy.

When Jesus was young, after a long night of trick-or-treating, he bit into a a piece of licorice that had a razor blade in it. Of course, god has been pissed about it since then.

God blamed the whole incident on Satan. My guess is Joseph was sick of raising someone else's kid.

No, it's not a christian holiday, it's a pagan druid holiday that was called "Samhain," to worship the druidic god of that name.

The Bible says: Do not say to yourselves, How do other nations celebrate their god? I will go and do likewise.

So just slapping a new name onto an old pagan holiday and saying it is "christian" is not acceptable to God.

Because they get carried away with things all the time. They don't understand "saved by faith through grace" so they always think they have to torture themselves to be "right with God". Tough deal.

Because they don't have anything else better to do than point fingers at what others are doing, to avoid their own behavior. Well closet behavior.
