You are a bit confused about both sin and prayer.
+ Sin +
Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God.
In other words, sin is anything that hurts your relationship with God.
You cannot sin on accident.
+ Prayer +
Prayer is the elevation of the mind and heart to God:
+ In praise of his glory
+ In petition for some desired good
+ In thanksgiving for a good received
+ In intercession for others before God
Through prayer the Christian experiences a communion with God through Christ in the Church.
"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." (St. Thérèse of Lisieux)
"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." (St. John Damascene)
But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? (Psalm 130:1)
He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer. Only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer.

The Bible says two very specific things about prayer for starters: "You have not for you ask not" and "You have not for you ask amiss to consume it upon your own lusts"
The Bible says that if we know that God hears us, we know we have the things we ask for, if we ask according to God's will"
Jesus said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and all these things will be added unto you" Seeking God's righteousness is all about turning away from sin, not embracing or following after sin.
Sin is never accidental. We sin when we are enticed and drawn away by our own lusts and selfish desires ("lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life").
For instance, you can not accidently tell a lie, for instance. Now, you may THINK that what you're saying is true, and later discover that you were mistaken, but that's not a sin, and as soon as you discover that what you said was wrong, you correct it and apologize. Sinning with a lie means that you deliberately deceive.
This is true with ANY sin. I merely used telling a lie as an illustration of my point.
I trust this helps.

1. God answers the prayers of a repentant heart if the person is truly sorry and plans not to continue in sin.
2. God will not answer the prayers of someone who continues to sin over and over again. Psalms 66:18 tells us, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." He will not listen when we decide to willfully sin. The thought that God, who hates sin, would allow one to sin in order to turn it into good is inconceivable.

Your friend is incorrect. God is perfect & Holy, and He never goes against His Word! When we disobey Him, we should feel deeply sorry for it and repent. When we do, He forgives us. He never answers a prayer that would cause us to sin against Him in order that good would come from it.

We are all born in sin, thanks to Adam and Eve. Romans 5:12
God knows this and doesn't expect perfection. However he does know our heart condition. Since God is perfect, he never causes anyone to sin, only Satan does that. God gave his Son in behalf of all men, thereby making forgiveness available to all who pray for it.
If we have the right heart condition when we offer prayer, God will provide guidance.
1 John 5:14, 15 says "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us. Â Further, if we know he hears us respecting whatever we are asking, we know we are to have the things asked since we have asked them of him."

God answers prayer when you pray in His Will. If you sin as a result of something He has answered, it is Your Will, not His.
If you're vigilant and aware something "might" happen, it is your choice to avoid it or not.

Not necessarily, God will allow you to touch a hot iron if you are determined to do so. God will some times let us do things that are not good for us to teach us to listen to him and trust that what He says is right. But it really does work out for our good in the end because we learn that what the Bible says is true. When we get burned by disobeying God then we learn to obey God.

don't listen to him. God does exist and he answers prayers. there is a reason for everything. As humans we are sinners. it is our nature that is why he gave his son, Jesus to forgive our sins. So just keep praying and asking for forgiveness!
