Its says in the bible that if you do not commit yourself to the Christian faith you will not be allowed into Heaven (The Forth Commandment) So, my grand-father (a Buddhist) was a rightous and moral man yet, he didn't belive in the Christian god so therefore he is not allowed into heaven? Does the same hold true for Gandhi? Please, someone tell me that a rightous and morally just man can still make it into heaven regardless of thier faith. I am right now deciding in my life which faith to follow between Buddhism and Christianity. And if Christianity is so close-minded to not reward men for thier good deeds towards mankind just because they did not worship the Christian god then I think I may have to go the way of the Buddhist because their path to rightousness and Nirvana can be obtained regardless of your faith. Like in a four hour rant on all the ways in which gods are impossible and unnecessary.

A rant where you spew all of the things you have learned over the years until the religious person just looks at you with that innocent puppy look and says "well, I believe because I choose to believe."

I am afraid for my dogs soul. I don't want him to go to hell, so I am asking you guys for advice. Below are some examples of my dogs immoral behavior:

1. He is not monogamous.
2. He has "special relationships" with other male dogs at the park.
3. He sniffs other dogs butts.

Can someone please tell me how to get my dog to exhibit more Christian-like behavior?

I love the TV show "House". He's an athiest through and through. There was a patient that had come in from a car accident and he electrocuted himself (he didn't die from that) but he told Dr.House he was dead for 97 seconds and he saw something. House argued that there wasn't anything, but to try to prove it, he electrocuted himself. He basically concluded at the end, there was nothing.

So tell me, what if...what if it all depended on what you believed?
