What is the problem with closeing the door with some stranger who is attracted to you is on the other side?

The cracks in the doors don't show all that much.

I was shocked to find out that American public toilet doors have such huge cracks for people to look through. I have never seen such a thing in England. Why would a nation this homophobic have such doors?

From a logical standpoint, if women should not use the same restroom as men then neither should men. Sexual attraction exists man-man as well as man-woman. The religious argument can't be any different.

I don't think there's a problem with it. It would be a problem if it went beyond going to the bathroom, and a specific action was made. I think men and women should have seperate rooms solely to have privacy. It could get incomfortable for anyone. becuase it's a very personal and sometimes noisy thing. As far as the cracks go, You can see through them if you're standing in the right direction. Once, while going #2 in a public restroom, I peeked through the crack and made eye contact with a woman that was washing her hands. It was rather strange. I think there are greatr things in our world to worry about than whos going next to you...

From which religion standpoint? From a Christian standpoint? A Buddhist standpoint? A Jewish standpoint? From a Muslim standpoint? With thousands of religions and religious standpoints, I'll need you to clarify in order to be able to answer the question.

From a religious standpoint? Oh please, give me a break.

Men seldom put the seat down after they are finished, that is if they bothered raising it all. I won't even go in to the number of times they dribble on the seat and don't bother cleaning it off.

Most of the rest of the world has communal bathrooms not divided by gender.

Only in America are we so sexually repressed that we think our genitals are so important we fear someone else getting a glimpse of them.

Religion has nothing to do with your bathroom routine. It is completely biological.

Women are nasty enough in public restrooms. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have to share them with men. I've had brothers and male roommates, and have used the same bathroom with them and know how gross they can be...I have no wish to share public restrooms with their entire gender.

I don't think it is a sexual thing, more like a health issue. Its a proven fact men cannot hit the toilet. I do not want to use a dirty restroom.

Come to think of it, if society and convention restrict the use of the same restroom for both sexes, how much more for religious reasons?

This is a gay question.......if I got to pee.. I am peeing....anywhere I can. Why be shy, pull am down and pee, just don't sit on the seat, spray it all over for the next person. Be safe and pee outside that my philosophy!
