A professor told us that according to historians "turning the other cheek" amounts to giving someone the finger. I just wondered if anyone else has heard of this.

So, you hurled back in time by an unknown force, and find the baby Adolf Hitler in his crib. Should you kill him?

If you do, you will prevent the murder of 6 million Jews and untold millions of others, prvent WW II, and probably prevent the Cold War which followed.
..but...
Adolf, at this point, is a innocent babe. He has commited no crime yet.

What should you do?

WARNING: I already know the answer. Be careful, and think before you reply.

I have many. Coffee only tastes good from *my* cup. I can't stand to have people sitting behind me. I go through the grocery store aisles in the same pattern week after week, otherwise I get confused. You get the picture.

So, in what ways are you neurotic?

Is it the way you interpet scriptures? Is it which sect or denomination you are? Is it the belief in the trinity? Or is it something else? God bless you with love in Christ and have a great night.

Supporting the worship of Satan? Aiding Atheists? If you pay taxes, you most definitely are. You are paying more tax because they are exempt from taxation. You are paying their share of taxes.

Meanwhile, we are burdened with higher taxes to replace over $20 BILLION of lost tax revenue each year.

Consider the brothel "church" where sisterly love is offered to male parishioners in exchange for donations. Or “churches” that practice witchcraft. Or the mail-order Universal Life Church which allows individuals to become “branches” and obtain religious tax exemptions. Or the foot washing stations and “mini-mosques” built with taxpayer dollars at airports. You support all these through the taxes you pay.

Other non-profit groups like the Red Cross must document their charitable work and receive prorated exemptions based on it. But churches and mosques receive exemptions even when they perform NO CHARITABLE WORK whatsoever.

Let me preface this by saying I am not attacking Catholics. I just want to point out something.

A question was asked about confession a couple days ago. A Catholic who responded said the following "While it is possible to confess directly to God and obtain forgiveness, what assurance do we have that we are actually forgiven?". This amazed me. The confidence I have that I am forgiven comes directly from the Bible and not from man. The Bible tells us if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us. So if I confess my sins to God, He will forgive me. I do not need to wonder if I am forgiven. I do not need to worry. I know I am forgiven. No priest needed. So my question is this why not trust God's Word to tell me I am forgiven rather than man?

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Please don't tell this verse means confess to a priest. It doesn't.

My friend wants to get married and she has been baptized for 3 or 4 years and she wants to get married to a guy who is not yet baptized but will be. I say he will be because he is doing very well spiritually and it is only a matter of time before he gets baptized. What I wanted to know is: When he gets baptized, is there a recommended time for her to wait before she can marry him? If there is, Is it something she has to do or suggested to do? Will it be hard for her to find an elder or officiant for her wedding because of this? Are there any printed articles that address this issue? If so, can you include the link? I just want to help her out because she seems torn about this and I just want to give her spiritual advice and not my opinion. Any info you can give me would help. Thank You very much. (I will assume you are a witness if you attach articles from the watchtower that supports my question)

Do you have an urge to share your new discovery?

Here is my new discovery: Walmart raised their price on Macaroni Salad to $2.78 for a serving in a clear plastic container. For 56 cents you can buy the dry elbow macaroni and make about $15 worth of macaroni in about 20 minutes.

Well, that is my love token (discovery) to you on this Sunday night.

What is your love token (discovery) to the rest of us tonight?

...And wonder what you were thinking when you insisted that gay marriage and homosexuality in general is immoral or sinful. This whole thing is going to turn out the same way it did with racism, slavery, segregation, sexism, and women's right to vote. Look back and think about all those things--they were big issues in their day--is it right for women to be able to participate in politics and voting? Should blacks and whites be able to live amongst each other, in equality? You laugh now, but these were serious considerations back then when these were controversial moral issues. I know a lot of people might feel threatened by this question, but think about it. And tell me what you think.

as a christian, what do you think of the notion of mankind suffering catastrophic circumstances from man-made global warming?
please, if you disagree with the scientific concensus on the matter, that's quite fine. If you think that they (the scientists) are wrong or that they have "hijacked" the debate, then more power to you.
what i'm asking here is what you think of global warming when you consider it through a religous, theological paradigm.

Just a form of mind-control by the laws and government over a chaotic world?

Would you trust something recommended by the government, the same CORRUPT government that brought us war, poverty, non-free health care, Bush, bad education laws, slavery, and racism?

How can I break through the bondage of my own insecurities and self-perceptions? I know in my head that God loves me through all, that I am a child of His, and that in Him I have His unending strength, but how do I let that actually manifest itself in my life?

I struggle with minor addictions, a negative self-image, and feeling unworthy.
