To me the most important aspect in being a Christian is to be a follower of Christ in word and deed.

Love God with all your heart, mind , soul, and strength
Love your neighbor as yourself
Put your life in His hands and let Him mold you into the person you ought to be

In other words Love justice seek goodness and walk humbly with God every day .

Being Christian is being Christ like. That is the most important aspect. Do follow Christ and he's teachings, anything else is not a Christian

This may strike you as ODD, But I don't think the way you interpret the scriptures, I don't think it has anything what so ever to do with your belief or dis belief in the trinity, or Mary.
I personally think if you try to emulate the life of Jesus, in your daily life in all your thought, word, and deed, you are on the right track. Always remembering we are all sinners and we just do the best we can and not be hypocrite's

haha i love you people assume their are all these different ways of being a christian... Isn't the idea of being a christian, accepting Jesus, and having a relationship, to evolve into the true likeness, and do his work. Not to make our own judgements on people? So really all these sects and denominations are concocted up by over powering religious people, who want to have their named worshipped as a leader of God, when in fact people should be worshipping God not a creature made by God?

LOVE

This, then, is the first and great commandment: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength” (Mark 12:30; see also Matt. 22:37; Deut. 6:5; Luke 10:27; Moro. 10:32; D&C 59:5).

Someone once asked Jesus which command was the most important. He answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:36-38). Our relationship with God ought to be characterized by complete devotion.

There is no limit to the love God has for us, who gave us his own Son in whom we have died to sin and now live in righteousness. "If you love me," Jesus said, "you will obey what I command" (John 14:15). If we know Christ, we obey his commands (1 John 2:3-4).

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (NIV)

I agree that the shed blood of Jesus Christ is the imperative of Christianity. Once we become Christians, our entire "God walk" is dependent upon our practicing Matthew 22:37-40: "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Without the shedding of blood is no remission of sins, but the blood of Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness. This is what Christianity hangs on and is the Gospel of Christ.....none other.
