You would have your truth ... your neighbor would have his truth ... the guy down the road would have his truth ... and each of you would disagree with the others about "what is truth". Come to think of it, wasn't that what Pilate asked Jesus? Could that be why he left his Truth in the keeping of the Apostles, to be handed down to his Church?

No not always, remember the Bible says that we must worship the Father in truth and spirit. Your first step towards understanding the Bible must be accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. When you get saved and Born Again the Holy Spirit will live in your heart and will guide you as you read the Bible, the Spirit will show you what the verses mean. Some are to be taken literally and some spiritually. The only way to know the difference is that you have to be saved first before anything else. If you believe in Jesus and would like to become a born again Christian you can do so right now. Just say this simple sinners prayer believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you will start a new life in him. It is the only way to Heaven. Just say, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Certainly not. You can think you know and then someone can help you understand and you find out you knew nothing. We all learn through study and practice. If you take the Bible as you read it you have the truth. If you interpret it yourself you are certain of errors.

Hmmmm, I think maybe so. Its like if you tell a 2yr old that 5-3 is 2. Its the truth but just cuz you show them that on paper and they look at it doesn't mean they'll automatically understand it or make it any less true at the same time. See?

You have the truth. You may decide to not believe the truth, but it is still there. You have no excuse to not know the truth if you read the Bible and truly want to know the truth. God will reveal the truth if you pray and ask him to.

No. Truth comes with understanding. And that goes for everything, not just the Bible.

You have the Truth in your hand.
The Bible tells us how to make Jesus Lord of our lives and why we should.
Whether or not you have the Truth in your spirit depends on what you do about Jesus, not how you interpret the Bible.
This is what it says:
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this.
Do you believe this?
Would you like to go with Jesus when He returns?

No, you have to study the Bible. Read the context - don't just pick a verse and try to understand it. Look up the greek and hebrew words and see how they were used in the original language. Cross-reference. Read several different versions of the bible - kjv, nasb, etc... And most importantly, pray that God reveals the Truth to you.
you do not need a priest to explain it to you. Catholics will tell you that you need a priest to interpret. That is false.
God Bless!

No, but when you come to Romans 10:9 and then Do It (no kidding around!) THEN you will have the Truth (in you!).
Cause if you Accept Jesus as your Saviour (Romans 10:9) you get your Spirit "Recreated" and the Holy Spirit comes to Live Inside of you!
(Spirits can do That!)
