I just asked a simple question about Jesus, I got reams of "quotes" from people.

I quickly realised that the English meanings to these words are still developing and changing.

Why do people study words that have changed so wildly over time, then think they understand the literal word of God?

If before Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil" they were completely pure and had no knowledge of evil (including deception), wouldn't it have been impossible for them to discern that they were being deceived?
Now, you can posit that God warned them about eating the fruit, but anyone who knows anything about children will know they're easily deceived into doing things they've been warned against because of naivete. it's safe to assume Adam and Eve were as naive as children because of their lack of knowing good from evil.
When you warn young children not to talk to strangers, you still don't let them out your sight under the belief they're safe because of your warning
So, my question is wouldn't this be considered entrapment, or a case of bad parenting on God's part for even letting satan into eden?

Golflectual called me one. He also went into one of my questions about tile and called me a freakin' Jesus freak ( that's o.k. I take that as a compliment). Although I did delete it . It had no business on my tile question.

I'm geussing he called me a spammer because I recommended a book. Is that not allowed? That would be silly. Most of these questions cannot really be answered in a few paragraphs and there are books that completely address them.

Why refer to Protestants as the Roman Catholic Church's "separated brethren".
Didnt you Roman Catholics all used to call them Heretics back in the day?
Why the change?

P.S. Im Not a Roman Catholic or a Protestant.

I've been hearing a lot lately about the horrible things that have been done in the name of Christianity. Things like the Crusades.

I wonder though, how many people realize that the Catholic church was actually killing it's own people not far from that time? Priests, writers, anyone who disagreed with anything the church said could be excommunicated, tortured or killed. Many were burned. These people did not necessarily disagree with Christianity itself. Most were in disagreement with the church's twisted doctrine, requirements, and lethal practices. Why did the church behave this way? Because they could. Power corrupts.

There is so much behind what is going on today that no one will ever hear in the news. If we really want to know more, it's time to stop pointing fingers and start studying history. REAL history -- not someone's current perspective of it.

Hmm, a lot of writing for all that. I originally just planned to ask how many were familiar with the many killed Christians.

Why should Israel split Jerusalem? Should not the same standard Muslims use on non-Muslims be applied back on them regarding Israel?

Would modern church leaders try to get rid of him from stopping their money making schemes. Surely modern preachers would do the same. Especially those televangelists. i am sure they would lose a couple of viewers.

What are the Pro's to having Muslims in the UK?

Maybe the Government needs to get rid of some of them?

Because this is what "multiculturalism" to that extreme leads to...

Muslims protest about pencil-crayon cartoon drawings of their prophet:

Muslim Immigrants burn the English flag:

Interview with a British Muslim community leader:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maHSOB2RFm4

Needless to say, the list is extensive.

Of course, there are Muslims who contribute to society and don't do these things, but hey...

Do you think that Muslims who just come to Europe to protest, threaten bombins and burn flags should be sent packing to the Middle East?

What ARE the benefits to having Muslims in the UK, if promoting "multiculturalism" isn't one of them?

My best friend got married recently and she was trying to save money on things, She does not have a church home in this area and it cost a lot to get someone to perform a wedding, So i became Ordained through Universal Life Church so i could perform the ceremony, now i am thinking about other people who can't afford big church weddings or don't have church homes and they don't want to get married in a court house, am i wrong to perform small ceremonies? I am not offering counseling or anything, I just want to provide afforadable services for people who don't have another choice other than Court house.
