I've been hearing a lot lately about the horrible things that have been done in the name of Christianity. Things like the Crusades.
I wonder though, how many people realize that the Catholic church was actually killing it's own people not far from that time? Priests, writers, anyone who disagreed with anything the church said could be excommunicated, tortured or killed. Many were burned. These people did not necessarily disagree with Christianity itself. Most were in disagreement with the church's twisted doctrine, requirements, and lethal practices. Why did the church behave this way? Because they could. Power corrupts.
There is so much behind what is going on today that no one will ever hear in the news. If we really want to know more, it's time to stop pointing fingers and start studying history. REAL history -- not someone's current perspective of it.
Hmm, a lot of writing for all that. I originally just planned to ask how many were familiar with the many killed Christians.

These "Christians" make Hitler and the Holocaust look like puppy play. They tortured and murdered millions more than Hitler did.

because of the fact they by no potential have been servants of the Lord... So the actuality that folk call themselves Christians does not advise they are.. The Lord says many are referred to as and few are chosen. this is why we've been all created via God ,yet we at the instant are not all Gods little ones! you will continually have wars ,and you will continually have poverty.. As for killing the enemy this has been happening for 6000 yrs.. you may shelter your place , your freedom and your loved ones from any usa that tries to wreck society, and the only thank you to combat however if it reasons dying or wars.. possible not exchange the guidelines that have been given previously the worldwide replaced into. We would disagree with many situations in society yet there is somewhat little which may well be carried out.....

WOW, What a Great Question!!!
I completely AGREE with you!!!
The Romans were a very bloody people, the bloodier the better, why would anyone think that would change simply because they "LABELED" themselves "Christians!" The Roman Catholic Church is not considered by me as even almost "Christian" because they go against so much of the teachings of Jesus, the Apostles and God's commandments.
--------------
Re 19:2 For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her."
---------------
Their sins and bloody cruelty is not going unpunished. Jesus sees them and they will regret their wickedness. The Roman Catholic Church has corrupted the earth and led believers into fornicating with false doctrines, pagan worship systems, and murdering God's Saints and servants. They have done so many wicked things that they falsely claim is in the name of Christ; Christmas, Easter, bowing to images, sun worship, betraying God's truths and His Beloved Son with their lies! The wicked Roman Catholics would do good to actually read the scriptures that they claim they follow . . .
Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
God Bless You!

Very familiar!
The original Christians were Pagans.
The bible states:
"They were made in the image of Elohim" (In Hebrew)
a) Elo=Male God
b) Elo or Ela=Goddess
c) Im= Plural
It goes on to say, "They were made in our image."
The Early Christians were Pagans and worshiped the God/Goddess
So, in answer to your question, yes the early Christians were Pagans who were killed by the Roman Catholics who were at that time trying to form a one God concept. Those who didn't believe were murdered.
The Pagans were infuriated that EVERY celebrational day of theirs (the exact dates) were stolen and centered around the mythical Jesus! At the time they (Pagans) had several Gods who had a virgin birth, changed water into wine, was born on or around th 25th, revived the dead, was crucified, died, bured, and was ressurected. ( Osiris, Dionysus,Adonis, and Mithras, to name a few.
Then to cover that up, Justin Martyr claims that prior to Jesus, the Devil tried to depicted false Gods as the true God!

Oh, yea...."in the name of religion this..and in the name of religion that...!" it won't stop....because "there is one thing that men have learned from history...and that is that men do not learn from history...." (I forgot who said this..) but it's still true to this day... "can't we all just get along?" Poppy cock! it will never happen......there was a time i thought it might....but i am convinced it never will..... and, it will only get "worse".. sorry... but it will.. and i'm not a sceptic, it's just the truth.. :)

Yup. That's why there wasn't a concentrated effort to stop it. Anyone who tried to speak out was excommunicated or killed.
