There always comes a point when the promises of God are factored into time. These things follow affliction upon affliction and victory upon victory, working patience. Such is seen in the life of Job, and time after time in believers throughout Scripture. All are in turn facets of the life of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul moves on to the great chapter on faith. Not only does the Scripture speak of Jesus; but the lives of those who hear and respond to His voice are displayed. Given as examples of a supreme confidence in God's promise to each individual.
Battle after battle and victory after victory are not those of any corporate entity but of the individual. Still, my battle is your battle if we are called by the same Spirit. Thus we are in no wise unique nor "special" one above another.
Among other things the view of Heb.10:35-36 is what it claims to be; a call not to look at situations and forget that God is in control. By grace through faith He has you where you need to be for your next victory.
Consider David, anointed King from his youth; yet always under attack by 'friend' and foe. Then consider Saul. Already King, but without patience to wait and trust the sure word of God for results. In the end the spirit, which came with his anointing, departed from him and he was left in darkness.
There is a little song that goes -- I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back.

This will be different then the usual. these particular believers were being terribly rejected by the known world.
Looking at the context, the people the letter was written to and the theme of the letter, I would venture to say the Jewish believers were being persecuted everywhere they went, not only by the Romans, but the Religious leaders of the Jews.
The Temple was still standing and the temple practices still in operation which was an abomination to God since redemption now and forever ((only)) comes through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We know throughout the Old Covenant that God used the armies of the other nations to punish Israel when they fell into idolatry. What's to say this isn't the case again; in just around 10 years after this letter was written, i.e. the Temple was destroyed by Titus and this temple practice gone. The Kingdom of God preached throughout the world and a New Covenant established with authority.
This question has caused me to look deeper at some areas I thought I had nailed down, thanks.

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36.
In it's simplest form, it means that I can walk right up to anybody I meet, and if I want to, I can say--God loves us! It means too that I KNOW that all things work for the good in my life. It also means that my mental and psychological atmosphere is not tainted by the outside world unless I want it to be. I have confidence in the fact that not only am I loved, but that I am cared about, thought about, and my life matters to the God who made me. In it's deepest form, I know that if my conscious is telling me to go over to that table and meet and greet those who I don't know, it is for the purpose of God, and who am I to deny the workings of the Holy Spirit in me? Who knows what the outcome will be? Who knows what the outcome will be if I don't? IF I don't, who will? Awesome responsibility, and only the confidence of salvation can give that to me.
What is promised? Love, peace, serenity, no guilt, no shame, a clean and lovely life, live after death, and...more, a connection with the world sometimes so intense, wow it is so beautiful words cannot describe. So, does that answer your question?

Hebrews 10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
Don't cast away, or let go of the freedom and boldness (confidence) in prayer that has its reward, for such that ask in faith shall have; and he that endures to the end shall be saved; and so has a true and strong faith in Christ; everlasting salvation is connected with it; the reward of the inheritance follows upon it; and this reward is the recompense of God's own grace: and it is a very great one; it is the fruit of great love and grace
10:36
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
Saints are immediately called to sufferings and trials, which require patience; and, without this, there can be no enjoyment of a man's self: but the meaning is, that we needed the continuance, exercise, and increase of it; in general, to run the race set before us; to bear afflictions from the hand of God, and reproaches and persecutions from men; to wait for God, when He hides His face, and for answers of prayer, when they are deferred; and to bear up, and not to sink under temptations; and to live in the constant expectation of heaven and happiness: and according to the rule of His word, in faith, from love, through the strength of Christ, and by the assistance of his Spirit and grace, with a view to his glory, and without any dependence on what is done: and the will of God regards suffering, as well as doing; for to that the saints are also called, to which patience is necessary:
you might receive the promise;
that is, of eternal life; not the promise itself, which they had received already, but the thing promised; which is the sense, in which this word is often used in this book, (Hebrews 6:12,17) (11:13,39) which is so called, to show that it is not of works, for promise and merit do not agree together; but that it is of grace, and will certainly be enjoyed, but must be patiently waited for.

Hello there Forerunner:)
Hebrews 10:35
" Do not cast away therefore your boldness which has great reward
The reward is something in addition to eternal salvation. Eternal salvation is obtained through faith, having nothing to do with our own works ( Eph 2:8-9).. Whereas the reward is given for the work thatwe do after we are saved ( 1 Cor 3:8 and 14)
We may not receive a reward but may suffer loss even though we are saved, because we are void of the work that the Lord approves
1 Cor 3:15
If anyone's works is consumed he will suffer loss but he himself will be saved yet as through fire
The reward will be given to us at the Lord's coming back according to our works
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man is to come in the glory of His Father with His angels and then He will repay each man according to his doings"
What we receive will be decided at the judgement seat of Christ (2 Cor 5:10) and will be enjoyed in the coming Kingdom
Matthew 25: 21
His master said to him. " well done good and faithful slave . YOu were faithful over a few things I will set you over many things. Enter into the Joy of your master"
Our Brother Paul strived to gain the reward. We see these verses in 1 Cor 9:24-27 and Phil 3:13-14 also 2 Tim 4:7-8....
Even Moses looked away to the reward
Hebrews 11:26 " Considering te reproaches of the Christ greater than the treasures of Egypt for he looked away to the reward - the coming Sabbath rest vs 4 " So then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God".. which is a type of the enjoyment of Christ and the reigning with Christ in the coming Kingdom for 1000 years during the Millennium ..
Verse 36
For you have need of endurance in order that, having done the Will of God, you may obtain the promise"
Oh how we need endurance in these last days
Hebrews 12:1
Therefore let us also, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us put away every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us and run with endurance the race which is set before us"
Doing the will of God for the Hebrew believers was that they take the NEW covanant way ( verses 19-23) and remain with the Church
Verse 25
" Not abandoning our own assembling together as the costom with some is BUT exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the day drawing near!"
Here they do not shrink back to Judaism but suffering persecution from Judaism. For this they would receive the promise of a great reward at the Lord's coming back
What is this promise?
The promise here is the promise of the Sabbath rest mentioned in Hebrews 4:9, This is a rest in which we will reign with Christ in the Coming Kingdom. That will be the great reward which is also the " gaining of our soul" mentioned in Vs 39
" But we are not of those who shrink back to ruin but of them who have faith to the gaining of the soul"
This promise is conditioned on our Endurance and our Doing the Will of God.
What amazing verses you have decided to post. I totally enjoyed getting the opportunity to delve into it.
Lets all take grace to keep on running in this race set before us
YOur sister

35Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has(A) a great reward. 36For(B) you have need of endurance, so that(C) when you have done the will of God you may(D) receive what is promised.
- Do NOT stop sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ! Do not give up, or feel let down- do not ever give the enemy the oppurtunity to make you feel like you are not doing God's will either! Keep sharing His word with others and do not lose confidence. : )

ITS like looking for that gold at the end of the rainbow , then you find the gold ,but then you throw it all away.
The next time you go to find the gold there is none there . So it is with the forgivenes of sin .You can not keep doing the same evil all the time, Eventually the holy spirit is greaved and he goes and gives that pot of gold to someone else . Therefore we should go and share the gold with our fellow christans and make sure that they dont throw the holy spirit away.

God is amazingly truthful, and only! i'm going to objective to make this as short as available... we live in a fallen worldwide & all of us Sin. Jesus got here so as that we could be forgiven from our sins IF we desire to have faith that he's our Savior. even although, there are nevertheless outcomes for our movements. loss of existence, theft, unhappiness, and so on are all results of our Sin. God’s righteousness (or justice) is the organic expression of His holiness. If he's infinitely organic, then He could desire to be antagonistic to all sin, and that opposition to sin could desire to be shown in His treatment of His creatures. as quickly as we study that God is righteous or only, we are being certain that His movements in direction of us are in suitable contract along with his holy nature. It's saying to not doubt, or backslide back into what you were. To hold firm the Word of God, because there is a reward in the end. It takes patience and faith, and keep looking to the promise of God.
