4The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

5They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

6The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

7The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

8He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them.

To me this verse says that Our God [the God of the Bible]
is the worker of everything. My question is why then do we look at demons and satan as being any real influence?
I'm not saying that they are Not, I'm just trying to get more perspectives on the issue.

Does God do everything?

Because He was fully God from Heaven and fully a sinless man at the same time.
For such an high priest [Jesus Christ] became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. (Hebrews 7:26)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)

I have offended some and not meaning to. I am not against your relgion. I think all religions are crazy. I think the weak cant sleep at night without the hope of a higher power guiding them. My questions about Mormonism is more, What made you believe ? Because to me if some guy sitting under a tree can get a revelation from god, well then hell I get them all the time. If Joseph Smith got a revelation, then who are we to say that Charles Manson didn't ? Why because he didnt practice what is accepted by society ? Kind of convenient how when the Government decided to put the ban on plural marraige, suddenly the prophet got a revelation that plural marriage is no longer needed. And not one person actually answered my question, all you did was turn it around, preach what you believe and then tell me that I dont love thy neighboor, but it is YOUR religion that believes that anyone that is not Mormon is a gentile and going to burn in hell. But I'm wrong ? I preach what I believe, like you.

Salvation is a miracle that only God can perform. It requires that God take a dead soul and make it spiritually alive. This can only happen when a person’s sins have been forgiven, which demands that the payment for sin (eternal damnation in Hell) be satisfied. Inconceivable as it may seem, the Lord Jesus Christ had to become a man, had to become sin (for all the people He came to save) and had to suffer the equivalent of an eternity in Hell (on their behalf), and then had to rise from the dead proving that He had indeed been victorious. Only then can those people be made righteous (as God Himself) as God transfers His goodness to them.
For He [God the Father] hath made Him [Jesus Christ] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
And declared to be the Son of God [Jesus Christ] with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead…(Romans 1:4)

GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.

Was God or Jesus a magician or a sorcerer?
The bible is against magic and sorcery, right? It seems to me a lot of things said to be done by God and Jesus were of that nature. And if you are going to say that these things were miracles and not acts of magic or sorcery than what divides the two?

Many people today talk about supernatural healings, miracles, voices, visions and special heavenly speech called “speaking in tongues”.

It is known that some Wiccan/Pagans call on just the Goddess and God in ritual, while yet others have a specific deity they enlist in ritual. Which is it for you and who do you call upon?

Example: I myself call on deities depending upon the ritual and sabbat. For Esbats I call only the Goddess.

Since I am in my crone years I genearally call upon Hecate but have been known to call on Hestia at times (im a horrorable cook and can use all the help I can get!) and Cerridwyn as well. Gods I call are Cernunnos and Lugh and Herne The Hunter

Israel hints at transferring parts of Jerusalem
JERUSALEM - Senior Israeli officials expressed support Monday for the transfer of Arab parts of Jerusalem to Palestinian control, offering a concession on one of the most contentious issues in the conflict. The offer appeared to fall short of Palestinian calls for a full Israeli withdrawal from key areas of the holy city..
This “dividing of the land” during the tribulation period is described in Daniel 11:39, which speaks of a future evil world ruler known as the antichrist and what he will do when he and the Gentile powers of the world rule over Jerusalem and the land for 42 months.[7]
Thoughts?

Absolutely not. Actually, men have invented their own salvation systems where they choose God (He does not choose them). Men want only to trust in their own works to save themselves. They want to be in control and to make the final decision about their eternal destiny. Appearing to seek salvation, mankind has invented a very wicked, totally man-centered, self-centered false “gospel” of salvation.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

God has placed the basic knowledge of His existence and power within man as man views this world.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19-20)
God has also given man an awareness of his own sinfulness:

Although God is love and has mercy, God is also just and righteous.

Thou [God] art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity… (Habakkuk 1:13)
[concerning God] …and by no means clearing the guilty… (Numbers 14:18)

I'm specifically interested in what Christians believe is the reason we are on this planet and our purpose in life, but any perspective is welcome. Just state your spiritual beliefs to avoid confusion.

Yes, indeed. The Bible is frightening in many places.

…Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:30-31)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge… (Proverbs 1:7)
…but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. (Isaiah 66:2)
